3/3/12 - update:
It has been 2 years since I changed this, apparently. I guess that means that now would be a good time. :)
Nothing in my family profile has changed. I would like to say that my mental status is the only thing that is different. The body is still under way. I am getting better about not looking at the scale and deciding my value. I am now paying $20 per visit and doing that at the doctor's office. This is better though, as the body composition profile that I get done shows me soooo much more than my scale - body fat percentage, fat distribution, water weight, etc. I like it...okay, I'm addicted. I really need to update my goals though. I need to be more specific and set up some deadlines.
3/11/10 - update:
Well, I am still Riqui. I still have three boys (Thing 1, Thing 2 and Thing 3) and I still live in upstate New York. Other than that, since the fall of last year, every other aspect of my life has changed. In some ways, for the better, and in many ways, not. I spent the last two months of 2009 and the beginning of 2010 struggling with depression and let everything that I had worked for go. I gained about 20 pounds and am back to the starting line. This time, though, I am armed with much more ammunition, knowing more about myself, my body and what I need to do.
I WILL BE running my first 5k in May, currently working on the C25K program. That is my primary goal at this point. Well, that and getting some definition back in my arms! :)

My name is Riqui and I live in upstate New York. I have three boys (aged 14, 9 and 4 years) that I home school and I do daycare.
I have been using this site for months now and have managed to learn more here than I have before. I really appreciate all of the knowledge and the support/motivation that is shared here! Now I just need to quit messing around and actually put it all to work in a serious manner!! :-)
I found this sight through a series of wild clickings and link chasing and am glad that I did. I hope to be able to use it to meet new people, meet new challenges and meet my goals!
I am currently at 24.2% body fat. My ULTIMATE goal would, probably, be to reach about 18%, although I am just shooting for 20% right now. When I get there, I will see how I feel. Right now, I set my goals up on a monthly basis. 22.5% is my current goal, and I don't go back until 4/30, so...I will give it my best each day and just keep trying to get better.
I am currently working with the Insanity program as my "staple." I intend to finish it this time, as I only made it through week 3 before I got bored last time. I am also working Crossfit WODs in 3-4x per week. I try to keep my calories around 1500 per day, with my macros set at 45/40/15, as my BMR is about 1400. 10-14 cups of water per day.

Thanks for the goodie!
I was on holidays last week; I went hiking in the center of France (Massif Central - Auvergne) around the volcanoes and praticising Qi Gong.
Can you believe we had snow? I think I am cursed... wherever I go it snows!
I can't say I am doing fine since my return as I am sick (bad flu). The good news is that I walked a lot last week and lost 1 pound; unfortunately, I am confined to my bed since then, and I am afraid of losing all the benefits of this week.
Hope you're doing better and enjoy your spring season,

Glad to hear that all turned well. You got me worried!
Ouch! Call it the butterfly effect but reading about your broken toe hurts!
How do I feel? I am slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through cookies... but I still my manage to get my hand into the cookie jar way too many times! lol
The doctor gave me DHEA because my hormones were on the low side. I smuggled it back to France where you can't get it prescribed. ;)
Will see how I feel after 3 months.
Spring made a tentative appearance 10 days ago, right before the return of snow... yes, snow! On the bright, it is melting now thanks to the rain.
Hope spring is upon you, that you can manage to see and enjoy the longest days despite your work shifts.

Really sorry to hear about your hysterectomy. Hope you'll be feeling better soon, and will adjust fine. Are you eating well?
I am more or less dormant too! Moving into spring? Spring, where, when?
Snow is scheduled AGAIN this week over here!
Going back next week to Switzerland to see my endoctrinologist, and hopefully he'll find a treatment to help me make it through the days and weeks... right now, even a sloth is more active than I!
Give me some news even if you don't do much either!

At this point, I wonder whether I should call G. Cloney in ER, Crime Scene Investigators, Mulder & Scully, or simply Lost & Found?!
