The Last Hurrah!

I am 70, now disabled, married to a wonderful man. I feel this is my last chance to get slim and well. Have had a heart bypass, have low
thyroid and rheumatoid arthritis amongst other things. I write poetry
and love quizzes and competitions. I also love teddy bears. Am a
translator by profession. Am now retired. Ran a section of a large
international .charity in London for 17 years

I always forget to look at this page. Obviously enjoyed the 1000 boat river
pageant plus all the other activities associated with mywonderful queen. I found in the supermarket at Tesco some elegant Diamond Jubilee china. So now my darling husband brings me up a tray with a cup and saucer, small plateand teapot and now my cousin in Australia has sent me a Diamond Jubilee tea cosy! Hope you and your husband are well. How is your slimming going? I have been stuck on a plateau for 3 weeks! Not letting it get me down. Hugs Sylvia

Hi Sylvia - I've been watching lots of the coverage of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations - Britain certainly knows how to throw a party! I hope the Duke of Edinburgh recovers quickly and fully; they are quite a couple, and an example to all of us.

Mommadot630 - I have only just read your remark as I never look at this page. Sorry. I am 70 and Keith and I live in the (now) Royal Borough of Greenwich
with lots of teddies. I hope you are well. It rained nearly all the time in April
and it is still raining in May. Makes me grumpy. Nice to make your acquaintance. Hugs from Sylvia
