Losing the baby weight

Now that I've had my beautiful baby girl and am starting to feel better, I am resetting my goals on SparkPeople and determined to get going on my weight loss and healthy habits. Even with eating right and trying to be healthy throughout my 9 months of pregnancy, I still managed to gain 45 lbs thanks in part to not being able to exercise due to doctor's orders. Now that I've had my beautiful baby girl and am starting to feel better, I am resetting my goals on SparkPeople and determined to get going on my weight loss and healthy habits. Even with eating right and trying to be healthy throughout my 9 months of pregnancy, I still managed to gain 45 lbs thanks in part to not being able to exercise due to doctor's orders. Once I was okay to exercise, I was so far behind and unable to push myself (baby doesn't like to be pushed too hard!) so I really only got some walking and stretching in - if that, honestly.

Well, my 6 week checkup is coming up this week and I'm hoping my doctor clears me to resume working out and losing weight as I had been trying to do before I got pregnant. In anticipation of that, I have ordered the Zumba workout videos and am ready to start working out daily. I need to do something about my diet as it has been seriously bad since I gave birth. My husband is deployed and being on my own with a newborn, house and 2 dogs has not left much time for truly cooking and eating right.

Now's the time for me to take some time and take care of myself. My daughter deserves to have a healthy, strong and confident mother and role model in her life.

My Goals:
Begin C25k once more, Complete a 5k then a 10k by Summer 2013, Lose 40# total (20 still lurking from pregnancy, 20 that I wanted to lose before that!), Love the way I look and feel comfortable in my own skin

My Program:
Zumba
Healthy/Fresh eating (possibly going back to the old WW Core method???)
Walking 3-5 days a week pushing my daughter in her stroller
LOTS OF WATER!!!!

Personal Information:
Living at Grand Forks AFB, ND... This is a tough place to eat healthy - I'm going to have to get better at planning

Other Information:
I don't judge you, you don't judge me... We get along great that way :)

Sometimes it's better to just agree to disagree. Seeing the differences and accepting other's choices and ways makes the day a much nicer one to be a part of.
