Get my weight back to my post college mid-160 range.
Most important: staying active and in good health.
Enjoying who I am.
"Upright and moving" recommended for all of us over 70.
Arroyo Grande, CA is on the Pacific Coast about half way between LA and SF. I graduated from Cal Poly and managed to find a job in the area. I've been here now since '58. It is a great area to live in.
Travel, kayaking, birding, and community service volunteering help keep me busy.
Music: playing (or playing at) the marimba and the ukulele. Now I'm teaching ukulele classes for the City Rec Dept.
Hey, Rich. Thanks for the 'poke'. Like you, I've been lax about Sparking for a number of weeks. For a bit there it was beginning to seem like my Virtual Life was taking over my real life so it seemed best to take some time to re-establish my perspectives. All well here--if I can call a bit of weight gain part of 'all well' ; ) Not out of control, but definitely time to get back within range. Hope all's well with you and yours.
Thanks for the SparkGoodies, Richard. Landscaping is going well--I'm really pleased with it and I'm excited to see how it looks next spring when all the bulbs start blooming : ) Thanks, too, for the 'add'. I've added you too. And you asked about the holiday trailer in one of my pics. Not ours. It belongs to friends who live in town and don't have room to store it over winter, so they park it here. My wife is fond of saying she only camps at the Inn of the North--the premier local hotel : )
Thanks for taking time to tell me about your surgery, Rich. Great news that your recovery's going so well. I told my doc I'm ready to have mine done as my hernia is becoming more pronouned. So--I'm on the list to see a surgeon sometime in the next few months. Since it's not surgery to deal with a life-threatening condition, I won't be much of a priority, but it will come.
