My Goals:
My goal is not scale number oriented but size oriented. I know muscle weighs more than fat and we can not get caught up in a number on the scale to measure success but rather look at the sizes dropping and how our body feels and changes in appearance, not just size wise but condition wise as far as the health of even our skin and hair. The health of our heart, the glow to our faces all that is success. My goal is to get to a size 8 and not be a tight 8 but a true comfortable fitting size 8, no matter what the weight is at that time.

My Program:
My program is going to be taking responsibility and being accountable to make better choices in eating and get my body moving. The only way to lose any weight is to simply burn off more than you take in and in order to do that you can not stand still, you must get moving, take responsibility for what goes in your mouth and stop looking for a magic pill to replace effort on your part and responsibility to your own body.

Other Information:
I love this quote:

"Not everything that we face can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is Faced."

This is how I feel. Until certain things are faced within, they can not be changed on the outside. It all stems from what is going on in the inside of us that transfers and refelcts to our outsides. I am ready to face myself, my fears and insecurities and to change them one by one.

Hi I totally understand about the gym thing and trying to get back into the swing of exercising!! I am 42 and since I turned 40 things changed....it doesn't seem as easy to lose the weight and exercising is more challenging as well! My favorite machine at they gym is the elliptical...its tough but a good workout!! I find I can burn the most calories on that machine. I haven't been back to the gym for the last year and I am almost embarrassed to go because of the weight I have gained. I feel like I have to lose 20 lbs before I can go back....so I have been walking instead! Sounds stupid doesn't it....

Congrats on your weight loss and you will get back into the exercising easily I am sure!! You will be a pro again soon!!

Hey! Thanks for adding me as a friend. I haven't done much with the sparkspages yet.

Yes we CAN do this! I feel that I have made great strides already. I have increased my water in-take (from nothing, up to 5 glasses a day). I have also really reduced my calorie, fat and carb intake. And increased my exercise. All of my 'starter' goals.

Great job of getting your page set up nice and early... It is great! I'd love to know your book title so I can check it out! You will find that each time you log in there is something new to discover, literally for weeks! The answers are everywhere and there are so many folks willing to help by answering a question for you. (me included!)

There is an awful lot of info and it is easy to get overwhelmed... don't fret, there are multiple ways to do everything on this site... poke around and you will find the best way to do it for you!

The most successful people check in and spark everyday... track your food! Read your articles... (you get points for most everything you do, and points are used to send people "spark goodies" which are personal cyber gifts... this might not make sense now, but it will... they really can warm your heart and encourage someone)

Have fun exploring!
