Thanks for posting on my blog! As for your question on what I am doing to build up jogging speeds and distances... I use the treadmill to mark my goals. I start out with walking to warm up. Then I go to speed 3.0 until it feels comfortable. Then I increase until I feel comfortable again. I am now up to 3.6 miles per hour. Sometimes, I will go to 4.0 and try that pace until I tire out, then drop to slightly above where I was comfortable with and then I find that speed easy. Other ways to increase is to do sprints (speed 5.0 or higher) for 30-45 seconds then do 60-90 second walks. Do this in 8 or so repetitions.... Another training method I use is to either jog on a slight incline or walk on a high incline just to build leg muscle.
