Personal Information:
I live in Palm Harbor, FL, which is in the Tampa Bay area, with my wife and two miniature Schnauzers. I am in my 20th year of retirement and am wearing a little around the edges. We spent the first 12 years on the road, but I finally got sick of not having a place to call home, so we bought a house again.

Other Information:
 I like books more than television, but do watch it. I also have three volunteer jobs and, with the house and yard maintence, I am as busy as I want to be.

Thanks for checking out my recent blog. It looks like they will break ground for the house this week. I have fly back to Nevada and think about packing up all my stuff. It will probably take about 6 months to get it built, but it is exciting to think about the change.

Bill is getting better and better at his cooking. Several things are things he has seen me cook but thats ok too.

Yes. 42 is the title of the very wonderful (and difficult at times) movie about Jackie Robinson and his entry as the first African American in professional baseball in the United States. I did not know this, but every "April 15th is Jackie Robinson Day and Jackie Robinson wore # 42. # 42 was retired throughout baseball in the late 1990's to honor Jackie Robinson's legacy. And only one player today wears the number since it was his number before they retired it and there was a grandfather clause that allowed people who already wore the number to continue wearing it, but no-one else could be given the number. Jackie Robinson Day is a day observed by everybody who plays the game of baseball, not just the Major leaguers, they wear Jackie Robinson's # 42 to honor him and his legacy every year on April 15th."
