Taryn's "Big" Adventure

I am trying to lose about 20lbs by eating very healthy and exercising at least an hour a day five days a week. I am also working on raising my low self-esteem and confidence.

My biggest issues are sugar (I am so addicted!) and drinking with friends. I am not as bad as the average student, but I still have too many. I need to learn to say no. I also have a problem with portion control and eating when I am bored at night.

My Goals:
-Lose 20-25lbs
-Cut out my addiction to sweets
-Exercise at least 1 hour minutes 5x per week
-Increase self-esteem and body image (get rid of negative self talk!)
- Feel comfortable with how I look

My Program:
-Follow a whole foods, vegan diet
-Avoid processed foods, especially sugar, fried and fast food in general. Limit intake of processed vegetarian "meats."
- Enter in all calories regardless of whether it is good or bad and portion control (do not go over calorie limit)
- Eat lots of vegetables!

Personal Information:
I am an English student who is trying to find a balance in life.

140: A pedometer, a nice pair of shoes and a manicure
135: 60 minute Massage and fancy new workout clothes

The only true way to know how easy veganism is, is to just do it. People think it's impossible to live without animal this and that, but really it's easy, and it's not like we eat rabbit food. I've also noticed that all the people I've ever lived with have started to understand veganism because they see/try everything I eat. :) But for the most part, yea, it's a frustrating interaction. great it helped both of us then! and since last night, i completely changed my mindset around and got excited about getting a big smoothie for lunch instead of greasy, fatty food that's gonna make me feel like crap! :D hope you have a healthy and positive day!
