Losin' It
Okay...I've finally had enough of jumping on & off the 'lose weight and get healthier' wagon. This time, it's for real. I'm tired of hearing my Wii call me obese all the time. I'm tired of getting out of breath from climbing a few stairs. I'm tired of just feeling generally 'icky' all the time. Okay...I've finally had enough of jumping on & off the 'lose weight and get healthier' wagon. This time, it's for real. I'm tired of hearing my Wii call me obese all the time. I'm tired of getting out of breath from climbing a few stairs. I'm tired of just feeling generally 'icky' all the time. But I don't just want to shed weight -- I want to be healthy and feel good at the end of it. So this isn't just about dieting -- it's about learning to eat better and to be more active. I know that I'm capable of doing what needs to be done -- now's the time to DO IT!

My Program:
Fitness: At least 60 min of cardio 4 days/week (my days off) and 30 min on the days I work. I have a Wii Fit that I use for most of my workouts for now. Also doing strength training 4 days/week for about 20 min/session. Working on eating healthier in general. Specifically: 5 servings veg/fruit/day 8 glasses H2O/day 1 whole grain/day Also tracking my calorie intake.
Personal Information:
Married, with 2 awesome kids (18 and 22 yrs). Work as an RN in the local hospital. Absolutely addicted to reading. I enjoy cooking too, plus some occasional crochet.
Other Information:
Favorite novel of all time: Kushiel's Dart -- the only book I've ever read to pieces (literally!) Also love the Game of Thrones series and all kinds of non-fiction, especially Tudor biographies. Fave movies/TV: The Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge, Monty Python!
