I'm happy to find this site and hope to get back to a more comfortable and healthy weight. I'll start out by getting the sleep I need and go from there.* I love the food tracker and other helpful tools available on SP. However, I believe I've made 'beginners' mistakes by expecting a huge change in a very short period of time.

*For one thing I still haven't got my sleep controlled. I've been through just oxygen, then to a Cpap, I'm was using a Bipap for Sleep Apnea and it seemed ...

Then the insurance bombed me. (Except see my Blogs re: Oxygen & Bi-Pap Machines.) In the meantime, I'm learning to eat the things that are better for me and connecting with the Diabetes teams.

My Goals:
One of my goals is to stay healthy long enough to meet other goals. So far, not much luck, but I'm still trying. I'm hoping the Bi-pap and FitBit will help there.

My Program:
Use Nutrition Tracker to keep track of what I eat and what I should eat to control Diabetes 2 and lose weight.

I love my Fitbit, especially the sleep tracker. With it I had proof I wasn't sleeping & could set things in place to help.

Personal Information:
I'm from southern Utah, moved to northern Utah at age 5. I joined SparkPeople in November 2010.

Since I'm a Leo, (August 1st*) ruled by the sun, I changed my background color to yellow. My favorite.

I have had my work published in "Mosaic, a Collection of Short Stories"; and "Tapestry, Poetic Threads of Life." I hope to get so I can have enough energy & creativeness to start writing again.

Good morning! Heading off to IL to see my endocrinologist (annual visit) then my parents (they are about 1 mile from my Dr.!) So, a "two-fer" Saturday.

Hope you're doing well. Busier than a banana this week. But after today, should slow down to just plain busy!

Hey, sweet cheeks. Glad you're doing better.

Busy here . . . up @ 4 am (Jason leaves @ 5 am) but it's working out. Just have to get to bed earlier (yeah . . . right . . . that doesn't happen often enough! You know that drill I'm sure!)

Otherwise doing well. Today's foray was getting my hair cut, going to the store and going to get my supplements.
