I love this picture taken from my front yard! It shows the dichotomy of Spring here in the Rockies, and that's what I've named it.

I'm happy to find this site and hope to get back to a more comfortable and healthy weight. I'll start out by getting the sleep I need and go from there. I love the food tracker and other helpful tools available on SP. However, I believe I've made 'beginners' mistakes by expecting a huge change in a very short period of time.

In the meantime, I'm learning to eat the things that are better for me and connecting with the Diabetes teams. For some reason, I've lost about 43 lbs this year and don't know why. Hmmmm?

I invite you to read my Blogs. Also check out the links by experts on the Better Sleep Hygiene blog. I also have a Fitbit that helps me keep track of all sorts of things like my sleep which is my main concern right now and a dear necessity.

Hugs and health to all. Having SUPER SP Friends is part of the trick!! Plus help from the Lord. Amen.

My Goals:
One of my goals is to stay healthy long enough to meet other goals. So far, I believe my FitBit helps the most.

My Program:
Use Nutrition Tracker to keep track of what I eat and what I should eat to control Diabetes 2 and lose weight.

I love my Fitbit, especially the sleep tracker. With it I had proof I wasn't sleeping & could set things in place to help.

Personal Information:
I'm from southern Utah, moved to northern Utah w/family at age 5. I joined SparkPeople in November 2010.

Since I'm a Leo, (August 1st*) ruled by the sun, I changed my background color to yellow. My favorite!

*Added especially for Miss Peaches (Brenda) on my 70 Team.

Other Information:
I love to read mysteries, Glenn Beck, humorous, and slightly off kilter books. I love those with true history w/characters made from real folks.

My work is published in "Mosaic, a Collection of Short Stories"; and "Tapestry, Poetic Threads of Life." I hope to get so I can have enough energy & creativeness to start writing again. Maybe I'll just use talents to teach church lessons.
