I'm happy to find this site and hope to get back to a more comfortable and healthy weight. I'll start out by getting the sleep I need and go from there.* I love the food tracker and other helpful tools available on SP. However, I believe I've made 'beginners' mistakes by expecting a huge change in a very short period of time.

However, I believe I've made 'beginners' mistakes by expecting a huge change in a very short period of time.

Then the insurance bombed me. (Except see my Blogs re: Oxygen & Bi-Pap Machines.) In the meantime, I'm learning to eat the things that are better for me and connecting with the Diabetes teams.

My Goals:
One of my goals is to stay healthy long enough to meet other goals. So far, not much luck, but I'm still trying. I'm hoping the Bi-pap and FitBit will help there.

Uh...back to a C-Pap with hopes of the Bi-Pap returning in the near future in 2015.

My Program:
Use Nutrition Tracker to keep track of what I eat and what I should eat to control Diabetes 2 and lose weight.

I love my Fitbit, especially the sleep tracker. With it I had proof I wasn't sleeping & could set things in place to help.

Personal Information:
I'm from southern Utah, moved to northern Utah w/family at age 5. I joined SparkPeople in November 2010.

Since I'm a Leo, (August 1st*) ruled by the sun, I changed my background color to yellow. My favorite!

I love to read mysteries, Glenn Beck, humorous, and slightly off kilter books. Appreciate my KINDLE. (Thank you, Helen & Bob.) But am learning to really 'dig' my iPad.

My work is published in "Mosaic, a Collection of Short Stories"; and "Tapestry, Poetic Threads of Life." I hope to get so I can have enough energy & creativeness to start writing again.

Focus on one goal at a time to become a healthier you. Develop an action plan for each goal and finish what you start. Each positive change will lead you to better results.
