A NEW START

i HAVE BEEN ON THIS NEW ROAD TO CHANGE MY LIFE FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW. I M DETERMINED TO START LIVING A NEW LIFE OTHER THAN THE ONE I HAVE LIVED FOR THE PAST 28 YEARS. A LIFE WITHOUT OBESITY! A LIFE WITHOUT FOOD OBSESSIONS. A "NORMAL" LIFE. WHEN I WAS 18 I LOST 50 LBS IN 4 MONTHS BECAUSE OF MEDICAL PROBLEMS AND LIVED AS A THIN PERSON FOR A FEW YEARS. DURRING THIS TIME I MET MY HUSBAND WHO UNFORTUNATELY DIDN'T REALIZE HOW MUCH I STRUGGLED WITH MY WEIGHT IN THE PAST. OVER A FEW YEARS I GAINED ...

DURRING THIS TIME I MET MY HUSBAND WHO UNFORTUNATELY DIDN'T REALIZE HOW MUCH I STRUGGLED WITH MY WEIGHT IN THE PAST. OVER A FEW YEARS I GAINED ALL THE WEIGHT BACK PLUS ABOUT 70 MORE OVER THE COURSE OF A 4 YEAR PERIOD AND GAVE BIRTH TO 3 CHILDREN IN THE PROCESS. WHICH IS WHERE I AM AT NOW(270LBS). BUT I HAVE STARTED EATING HEALTHY AND GETTING EXERCISE. STARTING ON 1/14/08, I AM ON A 6 WEEK FAST FROM THE ADDICTIVE FOODS THAT I LOVE SO MUCH AND CAN'T STOP EATING. i WILL BE EATING EVERY 2-3 HOURS SMALL MEALS CONSISTING OF PROTEIN, COMPLEX CARBS, FRUITS AND VEGETABLES FOLLOWING MICHAEL THURMONDS 6 WEEK BODY MAKEOVER OR "PROVIDA". i AM ALSO READING DR. PHIL'S "tHE ULTIMATE WEIGHT SOLUTION" AND WILL FOLLOW THAT PLAN AFTER THE SIX WEEKS. I AM CONVINCED THAT THIS WILL BRING THE WEIGHT LOSS AND THE LIFE CHANGE THAT I HAVE WANTED FOR SO LONG. BUT MOST IMPOTANTLY I WILL PUT GOD FIRST AND LOOK AT HIM DAILY TO HELP ME THROUGH THIS AND BECOME THE PERSON THAT HE ALWAYS MEANT FOR ME TO BE.

My Goals:
I am 28, by the time I am 30 I want to change my lifesyle completely and never be obese again! (To me that is to maintain at least 175 lbs) . Not on a diet but through making my lifesyle to that of a "naturally thin person" or a healthy fit person I should say, not a hopeless obese person. I am tired of living as that person!

My Program:
To eat more natural foods; fruits vegetables, whole grains, protiein, and less fats and sweets!!! Again I'll say sweets! :o) To exercise 20-30 minutes 5 days a week. 3 of those days do 30 minutes of strength training

"Zig Ziglar tells the incredible, but true, story of the Chinese bamboo tree.

The process goes like this: You take a little seed, plant it, water it, and fertilize it for a whole year, and nothing happens. The second year you water it and fertilize it, and nothing happens. The third year you water it and fertilize it, and nothing happens. How discouraging this becomes! The fifth year you continue to water and fertilize the seed and then---take note. Sometime during the fifth year, the Chinese bamboo tree sprouts and grows NINETY FEET IN SIX WEEKS!

Life is much akin to the growing process of the Chinese bamboo tree. It is often discouraging. We seemingly do things right, and nothing happens. But for those who do things right and are not discouraged and are persistent things will happen. Finally we begin to receive the rewards."
