I saw your comment on the Martial Arts blog. I left a comment also...The blog did not address the fact that most of those arts are extremely strenuous and many of the people on this site are not able to do that now. I was able to years ago...but not anymore. However, Tai Chi is more gentle and slow moving. Most people can do it at any age and slowly build strength. I did it for years and loved it.

Good luck to you on this journey -

Hi, I stumbled across your Feb 10th message board post "measuring miles app." I too like seeing where all those workout miles would take me if laid out end to end.

There is a website www.worldwalking.org that maps steps or miles on routes all over the world. I've been down the Danube, up to Machu Picchu in Peru and now during Lent I'm traversing the Way of St James (Camino de Santiago) in Spain. It's set up as walking/running but there's no reason bike miles couldn't be entered. It's an individual activity after all. There are even pictures of milestones along the way. Very nice and motivating.

We also have a team the "Virtual Walk/Run Challenge" which is how we all got started with this trekking the world. Bikers welcome too.
