Personal Information:
I had a golden retriever who was a real fight, a cancer survivor, Aspen. She fought for 4 wonderful years. She is still my best friend.

After Aspen, I had Utah. He was my lover. He let me kiss on him as much as I wanted. He was my boy. He had epilepsy.

I miss them both. I have a great husband and Sierra is out rough and tumble golden. She is a 'farm girl' who loves going to our acreage (on weekends).

Spark has been a huge help to me. I have made some priceless friendships.

Just a quick drive by to say hi. I've been so busy just having fun at home and working hard at work so have not been on here much. Hopefully that changes again very soon. Thanks for the spark love!

emoticon I thought you were curious about inside going on not outside. The outside enclosure will be a 10X10X6 dog kennel from TSC.

Nothing really exciting other than the turkeys don't have to roast before their time. emoticon

The mansion will have a poultry door cutout & door and a ramp for their descent and ascent. You know me, I will definitely take pics to share.

I'm taking it easy today after yesterdays episode. Not as humid outside and not as hot inside the mansion so no danger but I am keeping an eye on the temp gauge beside me.

Henna is pipping a lot today. Wonder if she's missing her neighbors from yesterday (see pics in blog).

House MD is a doctor series that aired 2004 - 2012. Not the same as HOUSE reality show. I just got the box set a week ago and I'm already on Season 5. I confess ... I've been binging on it. In the winter time I'll probably watch it again.

I didn't take pics of the turkeys on the floor. My first priority was to lower the temp of the turkey shack. It was really traumatizing for me and unfortunately there was a second day repeat.

Caught an 18 inch shark and a lot of croaker. Unfortunately all the croaker except one (1.25 lbs.) were too small to keep. We'll each have a fish taco for lunch today though!

Sadly even though the deaths of two of the dogs this year is not what we wanted to hear, we were told 6 years ago to expect possible serious health issues with a least some of the over 200 dogs that were rescued. There was a lot of inner breeding going on when the lady lost control of her breeding program and just let everything go. When you have a very good pure breed line and let it go like that, bad things happen. One of the dogs that died is only 6 months older than Piper and suddenly one day this spring he went from healthy to dying from an auto immune deficiency that appeared out of no where. I feel so awful for the family. They were volunteers in the same area of the rescue as me and they did everything they could to save their dog including two blood transfusions. Brought fear close to home for me knowing that something could pipe up with Piper at any point. She doesn't have the energy level of that would equal a typical 6 year old dog and I'm sure part of that is what was so wrong with this situation. Malnourished females getting pregnant by who knows what male on the property. Just sad all together. Then there are other dogs from the group with no problems at all. The good news is Piper was more herself on Sunday when we went back to the same park with just our own dogs. So we are wondering if the sheer number of ES dogs and people was too much for her on Saturday.
