I am so blessed with the ability to share with you my journey.
My goal is to eat healthy. I am going to be working toward eating more fruit and veggies in my diet. I am choosing either fish or chicken, or Turkey for my meat. I will allow myself to have red meat only once a week, and once and awhile I will allow ham. I will also be implementing more eggs for protein, be it for breakfast or to top a nice tossed salad.
I will for physical exercise be walking on my treadmill five days a week, for 30 minutes or longer if possible. My goal is to work toward stepping up my time to walk longer .
Above all, I love to encourage people and to cheer others on as they travel along on their journey.
I am a born again Christian and I love to share Jesus with anyone who would like to hear about Him. My goal is to always share words that inspire and affirm others in the faith.
I know that with God all things are possible.

Weight loss is a journey, so tackle it in stages.
Some may get there very quick, while others may take ages.
Weight loss is a journey, some take the stopping train.
And they get off at the station, and then get back on again.
While other lucky people seem to travel by express.
With no apparent effort, each week they weigh in less.
For some of us, the journey too often seems uphill.
We never seem to get that far, struggle though we will.
Weight loss is a journey, that anyone can go.
But as you travel on your way, there's something you should know.
Losing weight is a journey, that's different for everyone.
Some are happy to stroll along, while others need to run!
If you want to complete this journey, then forget about the rest.
Each of you must travel the way that suits you best.
As long as you believe it, you WILL get there some day!

emoticon THE 80/20 RULE OF EATING emoticon

When we talk about eating in moderation - - what does that really mean? Are we saying that you can never enjoy the foods you love if you stay on a healthy eating plan? You need to strive to eat healthy foods that work FOR you at least eighty percent of the time. Fruit and vegetables should make up the majority of your diet. The Centers for Disease Control states that almost everyone needs to eat more fruit and vegetables. Substituting fruit and vegetables for higher-calorie foods can be part of a weight loss strategy. Keeping fresh produce on hand helps achieve this goal, but frozen and sometimes even canned will work also. So make the healthy eating rule of eighty / twenty work for you and eat in moderation. The Cooper Clinic says, “it is about moderation, NOT deprivation.”
