Our cat Booger- RIP
I miss this wild and crazy cat! Rest in Peace, Booger!
Okay, here is my true confession: I had lost 30 horrible pounds, and then decided that as long as I exercised, I could eat whatever I wanted. WRONG. Now, I have gained back all but 11 tiny pounds. I am beginning to snore again, and my feet are complaining again about carrying the extra weight. Being overweight is so unpleasant, isn't it? I thought I had learned from past mistakes. However, when stress crept into my life, I quit visiting the scales on a weekly basis, and started visiting the pantry. I even felt guilty visiting SP because I knew my profile was inaccurate. Okay, today I have fixed it to show the sad truth. I AM back to logging food, drinking water, and being honest with myself and others.
Okay, I am a real nerd. I am an eighth-grade English teacher who is using a book set in Revolutionary War Camden, SC. I went to Camden to do "my homework" on this novel (Cast Two Shadows by Ann Rinaldi) when I stumble upon a Revolutionary War Re-Enactment at the house where Rinaldi had set this story. I even found the grave of a young Scot who stowed aboard a ship, following her boyfriend who was fighting for the British. She is mentioned in the novel, but it is too cool to actually see and touch a tombstone that has been roughly carved out in the late 1700's. I hope you will enjoy my photos. Also, you might enjoy reading Rinaldi's book (even though I am unable to underline or italicize... it is called CAST TWO SHADOWS).
I WILL be more physically active.
I WILL watch what I eat, and make healthy choices.
I have completed the SP Boot Camp, and I feel MUCH better. I plan to continue with the Boot Camp exercises from SP, and with maintaining activity in my daily life.
I refuse to face "middle age" without a fight. Teaching eighth-graders has taught me to be stubborn, with a warped sense of humor... and a young spirit!
I enjoy reading books- especially those written by Kay Hooper, James Patterson, and Dorothea Benton Frank.
I used to enjoy Janet Evonovich books, too.... but, I am "numbered" out after Sizzling Sixteen! :o(
I have also enjoyed reading the Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins. (I know they are supposed to be for teens, but I enjoy how well-written they are!)
