finally ready to make a change, really!!

i've been on here since december 31st and have already lost FIFTEEN POUNDS--yea! i've totally overhauled the way i eat and the way i live my life, and the weight is just dropping off . . . sooo, after doing some calculations, i decided to aim for another 10lbs to lose a total of 40lbs this year. i'm not going back to the old ways, ...

anyway, i eat pretty much what i want when i want, stay in my calorie range, and get good exercise. february has been a hard month with sickness and two vacations, but i haven't gained any back, so no worries--life is about living, and the healthiest choices aren't always an option or the top priority of every single day (just most of them!!!!).

My Program:
* 1750 calories a day
* 20 - 30 8-oz glasses of water a day (which i'm actually doing!!)
* strength training 3x a week
* three 50-minute workouts a week plus two minutes of sit-ups daily to burn a total of 2000 calories (DEFINITELY did NOT start at this intensity, but have totally built up to it)
* lots of breathing, stretching, standing up straight and holding in my stomach to make good posture a habit because what's the weight worth if i'm going to slouch!?!!

Personal Information:
pdx girl who made byways through colorado and nyc. imported a husband from my adventures and came home to start a family!!

Other Information:
my heroes are people who are living their life the way they want to live it; people who are passionate and create a life so that they may pursue their passion; people who know who they are while also knowing that who they are changes all the time; people full of confidence in the face of the contradictions of life

Hey there....I'm BACK!!!!!! Sorry I've been MIA....some support I am. I'm truly sorry. How have you been doing? I see you're down 18 lbs....that's fantastic! Did you change your goal weight? I took a 6 week hiatus, but I'm back now and ready to lose the rest of this weight!!! I hope we can support each other again....I promise I wont take off on you again!

HEY girl!! man! looks like you've been super busy since December!! that's so great!!
ME? well, i'm back on the band wagon and kickin' butt!! I joined in January and didnt do to well....my husband has a new job opportunity that he has to get in shape for so we are now working together to get fit!! it has been an amazing 2 weeks for us!! It makes all the difference when you are both on the same page!! :D
congrats on ur weight loss and i look forward to catching up to you real soon!! :D

Congrats on getting compliments on your weight loss. It sure does feel good when people notice your efforts!! No one's noticed mine (other than my husband)....but then again, I dont get out much...LOL!

You're right, a stall every 6 weeks or so isn't bad at all. Besides, I dont think it's a bad thing to splurge here and there. As long as it isn't every day all the time. I know a lot of people deprive themselves of sweets and carbs and snacks when they're dieting, but I dont. I personally dont feel like I'll be able to succeed if I deprive myself of all the things I like. Everything in moderation, I say!! That's great that you're now back on track and ready to keep going! That's a great attitude to have, and one that will get you to your goal before you know it!!

oops.....hit post before I was done!

As I was saying, I have more muscle than most people my weight, and I think that plays into it a lot too. Anyway....I've bumped up my calories....try to stay in the 1600-1700 range and I've gotten better results, so we'll see.

How'd you do this week? I lost 4, but I've been sick, so I'm sure that's affecting my weight. I'll take it, but not expecting any losses this week!

Hey there! How's it going? Sorry, I've been meaning to get back to you. Things have been very hectic around here, and now we're ALL sick! Not fun! Thanks for all the info on the calories. I've been doing some research on my calorie requirements, and do feel that the SP calorie range is too low for me (and you mentioned that your range changes, but mine never has.....I tested it a bit, and I'd have to burn over 3000 calories a week doing cardio in order for SP to change me range.....weird!) In doing all my calcualtions, I
