"All the fat belongs to the Lord." Leviticus 3:16b

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. I just hope he wants to take my excess fat because I don't want or need it.
I am excited to be on this journey. I can do this. It will definitely not be easy but I am up for the challenge.

St. Teresa of Avila left this prayer behind in her prayer book when she died in 1582:

St. Teresa of Avila left this prayer behind in her prayer book when she died in 1582:

"Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you. All things are passing; God alone is unchanging. Patience obtains all things. God alone suffices."

That prayer helped me get through many difficult times in my life. With as much weight as I have to lose I have to remember "Patience obtains all things."

With patience I can lose slowly and safely and get my life back.

"There is hope for your future, says the Lord."
Jeremiah 31:17

emoticon I'm glad you stopped by today, RS! As usual I am struggling to get myself back to tracking and eating right. I've got myself back to the swing of walking again after a 1 1/2 month break in the summer. Weather here is beautiful as fall is approaching. We've had a lot of rain from spring until now. It's corn chopping time although the corn did not have a great season nor the pumpkins. Two boys in college now and only 2 chicks home schooling.

Hi RS! I'm glad you're back! I was thinking with school drawing to a close soon that I'd be seeing you again in here. I'm doing the usual struggling to start losing again what I regained. I'm wondering if the yo yo ing is ever going to be conquered by me.
