Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I just joined Spark People recently, in January of 2012. I am in awe of the Spark People program and somewhat overwhelmed - there are so many resources available and I am truly nervous about this adventure, but excited! My big goal is to lose 200 pounds from where I am right now, in 10 pound blocks. Would love to be able to lose 100 pounds this year, or 2 pounds a week. It's a big mountain to climb, and I am looking for friends to pat me on the back, give me a boost or kick me in the butt when needed!
My goals, I am sure, are the same as all of you - to lose weight and get healthy. I am tracking in 10 pound increments, and my big goal is to lose 200 pounds. I would love to lose 100 pounds this year. Some of my smaller goals seem small but are big to me - to be able to walk without difficulty and pain, to be able to go shopping and enjoy all life has to offer!
I am using the Nutrition Tracker and keeping a weekly food log, using the Fitness Tracker, trying to do three days of cardio and three days of strength training for 30 to 60 minutes (Even God rested on the 7th day!) and reading, reading, reading on Spark People!
I am a Deputy City Clerk in the beautiful state of Maine. I am divorced and have a 32 year old son who is the light of my life, a 20 year old cat named Tootsie and a granddog Kevin, an English bulldog.
I love singing and music, particularly Gospel, jazz, rhythm and blues, classical, easy listening, oldies, reggae, etc. I also enjoy crocheting and crafts, reading, event planning and writing, currently speech writing.
