Hi, I'm Sonya. I'm 29 and I live in Kent, WA.

Between 2003 and 2004, I lost 64 pounds thanks to Weight Watchers, going from 195 to 131 in just about a year. Hi, I'm Sonya. I'm 29 and I live in Kent, WA.

Between 2003 and 2004, I lost 64 pounds thanks to Weight Watchers, going from 195 to 131 in just about a year. I had successfully kept the majority of this weight off until 2012 - thanks to a small injury and a new relationship, I gained about 10 pounds. I over the past few months, I lost most of it and currently weigh 134 pounds. Problem is, way back in 2003 when I lost 64 pounds, I decided to lose the weight without exercising at all and simply changing my portion size....so my smaller frame was completely untoned and flabby (and still is!!). I want to change that. My goal is to get down to 125, but to also get FIT!!

One of my main goals in the past was to become a runner. And I did! I completed several races, including two half marathons! But a hip injury sidelined me and I had to go to physical therapy to try and figure out what exactly was going on. I seem to be back to my regular self now, so I have been running 3-5 miles a few times a week by myself and sometimes with my boyfriend. I also have been doing a lot of strength training as well!

I have scheduled myself for some upcoming races to make sure I keep with my training and stay ON TRACK!

Hello!!! Yes I know what you are talking about!!! After I hurt my back I also went to physical therapy!! Then I had to get these awful shots that didn't do much. But I am finally feeling better!!! I actually got out today and ran the lake nearby. Its a 10K but I ran half and walked the other half. I am so pumped because it's been so long!!! That is AWESOME you are doing the Tinker Bell 10K in January!!!! I would love to do another Disney race one day. They are the best!!! Nothing compares!!!

I totally am with you on the running. I am not at all where I was last year with my running. It fell apart this year. The last half I did...did me in. But I still run occasionally. I hurt my back so that slowed me down this year. Now that the summer is over and my kids are back in school I need to get more consistent with my runs. I am so unconditioned right now!!! It's frustrating!!! But I will get back...we CAN do this!!! I think 5k's are perfect for me now!!
