I have learned so much about myself and about the way I have treated my body since joining SP. There are so many wonderful people in this place. Everyone that struggles with their weight should join. It is the easiest most fun place to lose weight, gain lifelong friends. This picture is me when I started Sparkpeople
at over 245 lbs. This morning March 14, 2008, I weighed 204 lbs. This week December 2009, I weighed in at 167 lbs.
I realized that my body is a temple of God and I was not taking care of my temple. So now with Sparkpeople I am taking better care of what God has given me.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
There are times in our lives when a diet may be easier than at other times. In times of stress or tragedy, it may be impossible for us to lose weight. Diets take concentration and commitment. Things may come up to cause us to fall away from our diets, but we need to get started again as soon as possible. Just because we fail once doesn't mean we will fail every time. Pray for God's help and guidance. He will be faithful to help us through the tough times and the times we fail. God will make our way easier through His companionship and comfort.
Today's thought: There is no better time to diet than right now!
My goal is to reach 150 pounds and to be a healthy, grandmother/wife. I want to be able to keep up with the grandbabies as they grow and to do all the things I need to do at the Church and through my ministry as I live out the rest of my life living for the LORD until HE takes me home.
I use the Sparkpeople menu plan for my food plans. I change it a little for my food allergies. I use some of the exercises. My husband drops me off of the morning on the way to work at Curves we work in the same building, I work out then walk the 2 1/2 blocks, get ready before anyone get there. Sparkpeople has been the missing ingredient to my weight loss program I truly beleive that God lead me to SP. I was letting Jesus control my eating but He put me here to do the rest.
I'm from a little town in Arkansas. Married to a wonderful Christian man for 39 years now Mike. We have two children, Charity is 38, Michael D. is 37. Michael is married to Jacqueline(she is from
Yugoslavia) they have three children, Tatiana is 13, Miles is 7, Ella is 5. Charity is not married right now I am praying God puts a Christian man in her life soon I am not getting younger. We are very involved in our Church we both sing in Choir.
I am a greeter, I also help setting up for Communion, Mike is a jack of all trades he does a little bit of everything. We just do whatever is asked of us. We just like to serve the Lord.
Love to sing to the LORD.

Hope looks for the good in people
instead of harping on the worst.
Hope opens doors where despair
Hope discovers what can be done instead
of grumbling about what cannot.
Hope draws its power from a deep trust in God
and the basic goodness of human nature.
Hope "lights a candle" instead of
"cursing the darkness."
Hope regards problems, small or large,
Hope cherishes no illusions, nor does it
yield to cynicism.
Hope sets big goals and is not frustrated
by repeated difficulties or setbacks.
Hope pushes ahead when it would be easy
Hope puts up with modest gains, realizing
that "the longest journey starts with one step."
Hope accepts misunderstanding as the
price for serving the greater good of others.
Hope is a good loser because it has the
divine assurance of final victory.

Life is too short. Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness. Laugh when you can, apologize when you should and let go of what you can't change. Love deeply and forgive quickly. Take chances, give everything and have no regrets.
Life is too short to be unhappy--you have to take the good with the bad. Smile when you're sad. Love what you got and always remember what you had. Always forgive, but never forget. Learn from your mistakes, but never regret. People change and things go wrong, but always remember LIFE GOES ON!!!
Every day is a gift--that's why they call it the present.
"We have no more right to consume happiness without providing it than to consume wealth without producing it".-George Bernard Shaw
"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."-Mahatma Gandhi
"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."-Dr. Seuss
The struggles make you stronger and the changes make you wiser...just sending some ((((Positive and Skinny)))) Vibes your way: ) Never forget You ARE worth it!!!
