My Goals:
My goal is to weigh 150 pounds by May 2008.

To reach this goal, I keep track of what I eat, walk our dog every day, drink plenty of water, and do some strength training, bicycle riding, rope jumping, and swimming.

My Program:
I watch my daily caloric intake, drink lots of water, bicycle 3-4 times a week, walk our dog 7 days a week, and do strength training 3 times a week.

Personal Information:
I am originally from the middle of Illinois corn fields. I moved to Southern California about seven years ago following a romantic internet interest, which turned out to not be as everlasting as I naively hoped. Turns out all was for the best, though. I married my junior high fantasy on June 28, 2006.

I'm living a life that I hardly feel I deserve, yet at the same time (and due in large part to the law of attraction), I'm living exactly the life that I want to live at this moment in time.

Other Information:
For the longest time, I was uncertain about moving forward with my life. I've been a college student almost continually for the past ten years.

So yes, this year is my ten year high school reunion (someone planned it for August!), and it is also the year that I graduate from college. I had the romantic notion last year that I might do this, and it came true (unofficially) on Sunday, June 10, 2007.

Actually, for me to continue growing as a person, I have to move on. The only thing I have problems with is the "moving on" part... What does that mean? Where will I end up? What will I do? Those are the questions I'm asking myself.

Sometime in August, I will receive the official version of my degree. Until then, I can finally relax a little. Maybe I'll take a yoga certification class... Who knows?!?! :) :) :)

Mornin!
Nietzsche is great! I enjoy reading is works. And yes he is often misinterpreted. Descarrtes is another good one. He was off base but still, his manner of thinking and the way he broke things down I find interesting. Humes is another favorite. But I have to admit I still love to read the old guys, Plato, Socrates and all. I've always loved philosophy. My first Philosophy class kicked it into high gear thought some 5 years back. My professor said to me that I am one of the true philosopher's in the time. I took it as a huge compliment.

I actually have a double major. Psychology and Social Work. I'm working toward getting my LMSW and my LPC.

I love SP!!! I wish I'd have found this place a long time ago! Thank you for the congrats! I'm getting married in about a year so I'm working my tail off...literally..so that I can fill our my wedding gown properly! LOL not to mention the looking good on my honeymoon!
I agree that for me it's been the most amazing thing to have people who understand what I'm going through and not think I'm nuts!

Well I'm off to the showers and then to watch a movie! Have a great evening!

Hi there! No I don't mind you stopping by and saying hi! Please feel free to stop by anytime you want!
Thank you for the comments on my job. It can be rough but I love it. I'm a survivor myself and this work is really important to me.
Philosophy huh??? WONDERFUL! I am back in school too and my minor is Philosophy. I love it. Do you have a favorite Philosopher?
As for being politically involved, I commend you and encourage you. I am also big in political involvment. We seem to have a lot in common. I even used to be a red head. Well...actually I am a natural red head but about a year ago I decided 33 years of being a red head was enough so I died my hair black. Now I regret it. I miss my red. But when I try to let it grow back out it just looks funny!
Anyway...didn't mean for this to be so long. But I feel that maybe together, and with the SP community, we can reach our goal and not feel that gutteral panic at the thought of never losing another pound. I look forward to the day I can say I don't NEED to lose anouther pound!
Take care!
