Getting slimmer! Happy Spark Day!

My name is Cheryl and I am married to my high school sweetheart from 1966. We have 2 daughters and 6 grand children and 3 great grand sons. We live in the Lone Star State and are native Texans.
Life is good and I am thankful for all our blessings.

I am working diligently to get back to a healthy weight for my height. I will get there and I hope that it is sooner rather than later.

Thanks for stopping by my Blog. I hope you continue to have fun with your wonderful G-Grandkids. I am also glad you are enjoying your retirement. I wish I lived closer to my Grandchildren, but that will be another perk of retirement. I have already joined the United Mileage program knowing I will be doing lots of coast to coast trips.

Thank you for your motivational feedback. Your walking sounds like a great way to get your exercise. It looks like you are getting pretty close to your weight loss goal. I believe you are in Texas? Have you been affected by all of the rain?

Hi Cheryl - I am just getting back on SPARKS and am reinvigorated to get the extra weight back off. I see you are doing a great job of getting back to your more perfect weight. Congratulations. I will be looking to you for inspiration as I focus on meeting my goal. It is going to take a while to get there, but I am up for it!

Sometimes the healthiest thing I can do for myself is to admit that I am not perfect. I am human. I make mistakes. Today I will have the courage to look the truth in the face, admit my errors and achievements, appreciate my growth. and make amends where I have done harm. I will not attempt to manage or control what is beyond my powers. I will dedicate myself to managing my own life, and only mine.

There is only one corner of the world you can be sure of improving.and that is your own self.

As I look at my fitness, nutrition and personal goals, I seek progress not perfection. I admit I am not perfect, but I am making positive changes and I rejoice in my growth as I seek to eliminate my character defects. Strength comes from facing adversity and not giving in, not surrendering, not giving up.
