Just say NO!!

I am on the verge of having to get on meds for high trygl. and I am ALREADY on meds for BP. This is not good and I am only 47. From now on, I am going to be in control of what I put in my mouth! I can do this!! From now on it's no to the treats others bring to work, no to pizza with my son, no to cake at kid's parties, I just need to say NO!

My Goals:
My main goal is to lose 45 pounds and get off BP meds.

My Program:
I am following a low glycemic diet as I think this will help curb my appetite. Eat more fruits & veggies, chicken and less red meat. (Red meat even though it is lean, is high glycemic) Walk more.

Personal Information:
I love to cook, love to eat and hate to exercise, which has led me to my current condition! I love the daily meal planner on this website. I am a yo-yo dieter and need to stay on the wagon for good. My hobbies are gardening, photography and cooking.

Other Information:
My fav movies are Harry and the Hendersons -a very funny movie!
Lord of the Rings-all 3
Forest Gump
Have read ALL of the Harry Potter books to my family.

SparkPeople is not another diet; it is a positive lifestyle change...
Stay focused and keep a positive attitude as this will be a great help to you in your daily life!!! Smile although sometimes that is the hardest, but it really helps!!! And, if nothing else, it makes people wonder what you're up to.
Watch your portion control. Be sure to drink plenty of water (8-8oz glasses daily) and walk. Water and walking will help you on this journey of lowering numbers and weight loss. Start small if that is all you can do or have time to do and add to it as you are able. Even 5-10 minutes several times a day adds up to bigger numbers and will keep you moving. Invest in a good pedometer (about $10) and see how many steps you currently take each day. Before long you will be adding steps just to see how many you can do and how far you can go. WHAT A GREAT MOTIVATOR!!! YOU can do this!!! CONGRATULATONS on your 8 pound weight loss!!!
