Time for a change

Well, I started this endeavor in 2009 and shortly thereafter we moved to a new town and alot of things changed and I didn't keep up with my SP. Today I decided to open it back up, dust the cobwebs off, and use it to my advantage again!!
Just a bit about me: I am married, have four children, I am a nurse, I had been doing pretty well with my health and fitness goals until I broke my leg and ankle in August of 2010 and had surgery in September. That set me back ALOT- I gained almost 20 ...

That set me back ALOT- I gained almost 20 pounds. So I got back in the gym slowly and was just feeling good about starting my running regimen back when I rebroke my leg at work on March 25, 2011. So, here I sit again......I am hoping watching my diet this time will keep me from gaining any extra weight and probably help me to lose some as well.

My Goals:
To keep my weight from escalating while I am injured.

To get my leg healed and begin my workout again in an effort to tone my whole body and lose around 40lbs (i am not setting a date that I want to accomplish these goals by because I don't know how long I will be out with this injury)

My Program:
I am going to follow the nutrition and exercise plan that i have gotten from here and hope for the best.

Personal Information:
I live in TEXAS. I love spending time with my family.

Other Information:
my favorite movies of all time are Tombstone and Steel Magnolias. I read Patricia Cornwell books.

Congrats on the 8. I know you will make it by Feb 25. Staying home and chasing kids will probably run it off of you. Sorry you wont be there when I visit Midlothian, but we can still talk via Sparks. Keep us posted on how you are doing. I want to hear from you at the end of Feb and hear that you made your goal.

Hey Becky! Well, I'm sad to see that you will be going PRN. I understand completely...maybe even a little jealous! But I will miss seeing you at work everyday. You have been doing great! keep up the hard work. You have what it takes. You are a beautiful, strong person and you can achieve any goal you have your mind set upon. I love you too, and I am so glad we became friends.

We did have a great Christmas. Thanks. That is great work your husband is doing. Hope you have as much success. I know it is harder for women and moms. Too much taking care of others to spend much time taking care of yourself. I hope you can get more time to take care of yourself in 2009. Hoping for success in the weight loss game for the both of us. I will keep checking in with you to see how your doing...maybe at work...maybe here, but I will be checking.

Welcome to SP & the Arts & Crafts team. It's a great site! Be sure and sign up for Spark America and when you set up your exercises, just remove any you can't do or don't want and put in those you do. Be sure and schedule a day for cardio so you have access to the "other exercises" page where the walking, housework, playing with children etc. are to be found. When you are done, set up your Appointment calendar to send you reminders and when they come, click on the link then fitness and just check them off as you do them. Such a great feature. Use your spark points page to help you use and learn all the fantastic tools we have at this site. Visit others pages and get to know them better. Again, welcome to a great site.
