I continue to push through the everyday struggles at an attempt to be the very best me I can be. Some days are great; others, a bit harder. But you know what? Overall, I am happy with my life and the progress I am making to take better care of myself.

My Goals:
May 8, 2011 My first half marathon!

So...
*Run 3 times/wk
*Strength 2 times/wk
*Flex/Balance 1-2 times/wk

And I need to find a "real" job this year so I can be financially stable.

My Program:
Limited internet means less Spark time. Here's the plan:

*Weekly & Daily Check-ins with myself to see how I'm doing.

*Recording food intake/exercise in a small notebook I carry with me.

*Supporting friends and accepting their support as well :-)

Personal Information:
I live in Chicago and recently graduated from TWO masters degrees programs. Which explains why I'm exhausted! I am a passionate social worker who cares deeply about social justice and recognizing the good in everyone! (and every animal!)

Other Information:
I love reading and knitting/stitching. I enjoy biking and would like to do it more. Trying to be a runner....

I tracked ALL day and even stayed in my optimum calories. Only six more days to go!

The run went ok. I did a run 3 min walk 2 min for 2 miles. I am way more sore then I thought I would be after a two mile run. Can't wait to go on Monday though!
