Dumping the Plump

Hello everyone, I am a wife of soon 22 years, I am a mother to 2 daughters, one in college and one still keeping me busy in high school. I decided this is the year I need to make some changes and get some control back in my life in regards to my weight, between lack of activity and aches and pains and age....well the list could go on and on...so now no more excuses! I hope some of you step up and help me maintain accountability.... I am looking forward to participating ...

My Goals:
I have a long term goal...hoping to get back down to 175..I have a long ways to go and I know this journey will not be a short one. I just want to feel good again

My Program:
Brand new here, I will begin by calorie counting and adding some type of physical activity each week..small changes one step at a time.

My second week I have added 10 minutes of cardio twice a week and 15 minutes of strength training
three times a week. I know this is slow but I want to go slow and hopefully avoid injury! This program will be changing often as I meet goals and feel stronger

Other Information:
Lets create great friendships and walk each other in our journeys

doing my weekly check in. Had an interesting talk with a woman who is a weight loss life coach today and she reminded me that, as much as I have stayed focused on practical stuff, there is a lot of emotional baggage, too.

Hope you have a good week.

Glad to see that you are enjoying the garden and sticking to your Spark plan. I've had a scale stall again, too. So I'm practicing patience and experiencing what it feels like not to get the instant boost of the scale (just like I don't go after the instant boost of a tub of icecream anymore), but to keep plugging away despite it.

Good to know that you are doing the same.
