Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I orginally started this journey back in February 2008 here on Spark People. I had great success with it, lost just over 15 pounds, got married, moved, got a new job, and then moved again.
5 years after beginning Spark People and 4 years after getting married, I am back for a new beginning.
It's funny all of the things that get in your way... But all excuses aside it all comes down to this: I am now 173.2 pounds but look like the old me and feel worse than that.
So I've come home (Spark People) I also needed to remind myself of where and who I was before life got in the way.
I used to sleep 8 hours a night
Drink 8 glasses of water a day
Eat breakfast in the morning
Exercise every morning
Rotate days of strenghth training
Wheat bread please, is there any other kind?
Eat 3-5 servings of vegetables a day
Let's just be honest, the last time I bought fruit was last week after a 1 1/2 year sabatical (may have eaten some, but had not bought any myself). My blood pressure is high again, a couple of months ago reading at 156/108; and although I can still fit my skinny jeans I muffin from the top now instead of having that slimming effect.
That's right ladies and gentleman! Yes, I want to do it, but have now come to a time in my life that I have to do it. This may be that change I need to save my life...
My goal is to begin :
~Believing in myself
~Working on being healthy.
~3 fruits - 2 vegetables a day minimum
~Lift weights every other day , 3 times a week
~Drinking 8 glasses of water a day
~Setting personal, emotional and mental goals
~Becoming the best me I can be!
Cardio 3 times a week
In the beginning of this journey I took my measurements:
Thighs 25 1/2 inches
Arms 14 1/4 inches
Hips 41 inches
Waist 38 inches
Bust 45 inches
As of 5-3-08
Left thigh 24 inches
Right thigh 23 3/4 inches
Left Arm 13 inches
Right Arm 12 1/2 inches
Hips 41 :-(
Waist 37 1/2 inches
Bust 43 1/2 inches
My name is Roxanne and I am 35 years old and 5'3". I am from Ft. Wayne, IN. Presently I live in Augusta, GA.
I do struggle with a great deal of illnesses: MS, High Blood Pressure, Thyroid issues, and Diabetes; but I refuse to let this stop me. Hopefully I will be able to shed a great deal of those diseases with losing weight. I'm optomistic! I thank God for this site. This is exactly what I needed to get moving!
I love to read, write, and am a huge television watcher.
I believe that there is no time like the present. With wanting to lose weight, again (I got down to 157 at the end of 2005), SP has been the motivation I've been looking for..
