Hello Everyone, I'm Heather and I'm ready to start living this life to the fullest and I'm starting with the overdue and necessary journey "battle of the bulge". I've pretty much been heavy since pre-teen, and so it's a mental thing for me as well as physical.

I've succeeded before however, my highest at 296 lbs, and I got down to 217 lbs. Eventually an excuse of vacation getting off the diet, struggling to get back on, life events and the passing of my dear Mom, I made my way back up to 287 lbs. I'm now down to 273 lbs, 14 lbs loss since March 18th, when I finally put the foot down on myself (lol) and got serious. I'm happy to have found this site and looking forward to meeting positive like minded people.

(My handle was suppose to be Ready4Life, I'm just going to stick with this one)

1/18/10 - Unfortuantly after losing 40lbs in 2008, I'm back up to my top weight. I had a bad car accident that left me in a lot of pain, and led to emotional eating.

I'm back, Today is day 1. I'm hopeful that I can have the same success as I did in 2008! I now an extra added incentive, I'm going to Hawaii in August 2011 :)


Starting new mini-goals, to reward myself for the small successes.

Mini-Goals: (FOR 2010)

270 lbs - Pedicure (MET 4/16/10)
260 lbs - New Shoes (MET 7/30/10) - 4 pairs of shoes :)
250 lbs - Hair cut/style (MET 11/18/10), hair is cute, but shorter than I wanted it, 8 inches cut!


Mini-Goals: (FOR 2011) - Back at 270lbs from holiday weight gain/eating bad etc. (2 1/2 months)

260lbs - Pedicuare
250 lbs - Comfy pj's & new jacket
240 lbs - New outfit
230 lbs - Trip to the beach
220 lbs - Two new outfits
210 lbs - Trip to Seattle
200 lbs - larger trip like Vegas etc.

My Goals:
I would like to get down to 180lbs or a size 14. And what comes with losing weight to have more energy and feel great!

I'm doing a Modified Low-Carb diet, which works for me. Trying to drink 8 glasses of water per day, and exercise at least 4 times a week.

    Hello my dear,

    I'm so sorry about your weight ticker not working, I can imagine how frustrating that must be. Have you tried clearing your cookies and cache? Sometimes that helps. I really hope you can get it working because you deserve to see that ticker move. You've done the work!!!

    LOL!! I danced for 4 hours straight like I was 20 again and my knees, quads, and calves reminded me that I'm turning 41. I'm still a little sore but I took the day off yesterday from working out so I am definitely getting a workout in today.

    Aren't those girl's nights the best?? I hope you have a great time as well and I hope you have BETTER results than I did.

    Thank you for the birthday wishes. I can't wait to celebrate again starting on Thursday through the whole weekend with my hubby.

    Thank you. I had such a good time. My birthday is actually this Thursday but I decided to celebrate early with friends and then have my actual birthday weekend just for me and Hubby. We had a blast and danced all night long. I was really bad with the drinking though so I was happy to see this morning that I lost a pound yesterday. emoticon I would have been so mad at myself if I gained because of drinking.

    Anyway I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    How are you today gorgeous? Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well, but I'm glad you're feeling better now. I love how you jumped right back on the path. emoticon

    I left my career as a paralegal and now I am working for a software media company as a Verification Specialist. I verify and proofread all of their texts before they publish it to a developed software. I was an English major in school so it's pretty easy for me. I just love that I get to work from home. I set my own hours so I can have plenty of time for school. I returned to school in January to study Nutrition Science and Sports and Exercise. I am so motivated and ready to tackle my weight this time thanks to finally deciding what I want to be when I grow up. emoticon

    Great job on working out 4 times in one week. That's the way to do it!! Let's keep it going!!

    Your Easter sounds like a blast. I love my nieces and nephews too. I have a niece and two nephews that same age as your nephews. Such a great age. They are so much fun to be around. I miss them so much. My brother still lives in NY. My Easter was peaceful. Church and then we had a bbq in the park with some friends. Very relaxing.

    Well my dear, let's keep the momentum going and make it a great rest of the week. I'm starting to get a little nervous because my weight loss has been pretty rapid so far so I'm waiting for the plateau.
