Hello Everyone, I'm Heather and I'm ready to start living this life to the fullest and I'm starting with the overdue and necessary journey "battle of the bulge". I've pretty much been heavy since pre-teen, and so it's a mental thing for me as well as physical.

I've succeeded before however, my highest at 296 lbs, and I got down to 217 lbs. Eventually an excuse of vacation getting off the diet, struggling to get back on, life events and the passing of my dear Mom, I made my way back up to 287 lbs. I'm now down to 273 lbs, 14 lbs loss since March 18th, when I finally put the foot down on myself (lol) and got serious. I'm happy to have found this site and looking forward to meeting positive like minded people.

(My handle was suppose to be Ready4Life, I'm just going to stick with this one)

1/18/10 - Unfortuantly after losing 40lbs in 2008, I'm back up to my top weight. I had a bad car accident that left me in a lot of pain, and led to emotional eating.

I'm back, Today is day 1. I'm hopeful that I can have the same success as I did in 2008! I now an extra added incentive, I'm going to Hawaii in August 2011 :)


Starting new mini-goals, to reward myself for the small successes.

Mini-Goals: (FOR 2010)

270 lbs - Pedicure (MET 4/16/10)
260 lbs - New Shoes (MET 7/30/10) - 4 pairs of shoes :)
250 lbs - Hair cut/style (MET 11/18/10), hair is cute, but shorter than I wanted it, 8 inches cut!


Mini-Goals: (FOR 2011) - Back at 270lbs from holiday weight gain/eating bad etc. (2 1/2 months)

260lbs - Pedicuare
250 lbs - Comfy pj's & new jacket
240 lbs - New outfit
230 lbs - Trip to the beach
220 lbs - Two new outfits
210 lbs - Trip to Seattle
200 lbs - larger trip like Vegas etc.

I would like to get down to 180lbs or a size 14. And what comes with losing weight to have more energy and feel great!

I'm doing a Modified Low-Carb diet, which works for me. Trying to drink 8 glasses of water per day, and exercise at least 4 times a week.

    My dear Heather,

    How are you feeling? Better I hope. I really hate when being sick takes over. Although I'm glad you made the most of it by having a great weekend with your boyfriend. Yeah, I understand about the food choices. This week my husband and I have made a few poor choices as well. We started this crazy intense workout routine but our eating has been somewhat poor. We'll have to really work hard on making better food choices.

    I don't think it's too late to sign up for the challenge. However I have to admit I'm not exactly following it to the letter. It gives you workouts but I just prefer to do my own so I don't think my fitness is actually counting towards completing the challenge. Oh well as long as I am working out and losing weight I guess I don't mind that much.

    I am off to bed early, tomorrow is a very early full day so I will talk to you later.

    Hi Heather,

    How are you my dear? Hope all is well. Sorry I've been out of touch for a couple of days. I was sick with a stomach bug. At first I thought it was just PMS but then it really started kicking in and kicking my butt. I think I just overdid it these last two weekends celebrating my birthday. emoticon Anyway I am so glad that's over with. I'm still going to take it slow today but I am getting a workout in today.

    How about you? How are your workouts going? Do you think you'll have another great weigh in? Well I know you will. I saw your status about walking up to the waterfalls. It sounds absolutely beautiful.

    Do you have any plans for this weekend? This weekend is about school for me. I have 3 final research papers to complete so I don't think I'll be getting any fun in this weekend emoticon
    Besides the weather is going to be horrible both Saturday and Sunday so I guess it works out in my favor.

    Wow Heather!!!! 13 lbs is awesome!!!! So proud of you. You'll keep losing like that because you're determined and focused. We'll make sure of it. emoticon .

    I had a fabulous birthday thank you and I am still celebrating. We had another night out and today we are headed to Tampa to go to Busch Gardens. So I better see a weight drop on that scale tomorrow. LOL. Even though TOM is this week and I always gain during this week. emoticon But I will stay positive.
