4/27/14 - In 2009 I lost 73 pounds with the help of the prescribed medication Phentercot (phentermine). I crashed emotionally terribly after coming off the medication and gained back all the weight plus almost 35 more. After that bad experience I didn't want to try again and stopped caring. Now I am back to losing weight and being able to move and feel better.

My Goals:
Eat healthy and exercise as a lifestyle.

Manage high blood pressure and cholesterol.

Lose 129 pounds in 129 weeks (2.5 years) 903 days on the treadmill.

BMI in the Healthy range. (24.7 wt 158)

Reduce medication & supplements from 10 pills to 1 per day.


My Program:
*Track and stay within calorie range 1200-1600

*Keep Sodium under 2300 mg (for HBP)

*Track 15 minutes of exercise (treadmill - raising gradually)
5/19/16 now at 24 mins

*Get 8 hours of sleep

*Drink 8 glasses of water

*Have 5 fruits & vegetables (will raise to 8 eventually)
5/17/16 now at 6

*Get 2,000 steps (will raise to 10,000 gradually)
5/17/16 now at 6,000

*Get as many Spark points as possible

*Cook healthy dinners instead of eating out

I grew up in northern IN, moved to NJ, CA, IL and now live in NC. I'm married with 3 grown kids and a grandson. We have a beagle named Hunter.

    emoticon so much for the spark goodie & comment. Cocoa is 8 yrs. old. I love beagles. We won't have him around to much longer. He has CKF. I can't understand what happened. This is a bad disease. He still has a decent quality of life because he is in 3rd stage of kidney failure. It breaks my heart every time I look at him knowing I won't have him around next year. Our other beagle lived till 14 yrs old. I see your using the villes. I am currently in 220ville. Their a great way to lose weight. I use them as a weight loss journal. When you have a lot of weight to lose it's so exciting when your almost ready to move to your next ville. Also it's much easier to lose weight in 10 lb. Increments. You don't feel so discouraged.
