Hi, I'm Ace from Reading MA. I've been running for many years for many reasons but mostly to stay young. I'm very lucky to share this pasttime with my husband. We maintain similar speeds and endurance goals which promotes harmony in the home!

I started out on Spark People in order to focus on training for the 2011 Boston Marathon. That's history now, so we've picked another goal- Niagara Falls Marathon October, 2011

Whoops, Niagara is history, too! Next goal- actually 2 for this year: The Broad St 10 mi. Run in Philadelphia in May and the Utica
Boilermaker 15K in July. Both are famous races that have been on our bucket list for some time now.

My Goals:
Lose weight, heal from herniated disk and torn meniscus. Get back to running.

My Program:
Track food, fitness. Go to the gym 4 times a week walk 3 times a week. Follow a daily exercise routine given by physical therapists.

Personal Information:
Reading, Ma is about 12 miles north of Boston. This is both where I work and where I live. I own a cozy little coffee and pastry shop where the locals come to talk running, politics, etc.

UPDATE I have sold my shop and am now working a couple of odd jobs while I figure out what to do now.

Other Information:
Currently trying to get a handle on Zone training including fat burning vs cardio workout etc.

It's the top to middle part of my knee that gives me issues. My coworker suggested using a rolling pin on my legs (since I don't have a foam roller) and I did that last night. Not sure if it did anything or not! I'm going to wear a knee brace for Sunday's race and make sure to ice after!
