It's a Weigh of Life
Let's face it, I am not getting any younger but the bad part is, I can feel myself getting older - the aches and pains, the difficulty in bending down, the brain fog and wanting a nap most afternoons... I know that if I get rid of some of this excess weight I will feel better. It's obvious when I have a good couple of food / exercise days in a row that I just have a bit more energy, less sluggishness, and actually feel lighter even though I didn't drop a pound. I know that if I get rid of some of this excess weight I will feel better. It's obvious when I have a good couple of food / exercise days in a row that I just have a bit more energy, less sluggishness, and actually feel lighter even though I didn't drop a pound. Imagine how great I can feel when I do make permanent changes! I don't want to say 'lose the weight' because that implies I want to find it again...NO NO NO!! I want to get rid of, dispose of, toss the weight away, trash it, smash it, wave it a permanent good bye! I am honestly wanting this as much for my health as I want it to be able to fit into a size 12 again. This motivation is what will get me there...I don't want to hurt and become a crippled old lady dependent on others. I want to take care of myself the best I can before it is too late to change.

My Goals:
To wear shorts and a bathing suit this summer and have people notice -- in a good way! I won't be at goal by July vacation but I will be much closer than i am right now. To clothes shop in my closet for the things that used to fit -- and have them fit again before they are completely out of style. To have my doctor say "Wow, what have you been doing?" when he sees the low number on the scale...and to not be embarrassed to actually go to the doctor and step on the scale.
My Program:
Weight Watchers Get rid of junk food and junk sugar. Increase protein & fiber, decrease carbs. Clean Eating. Walk for at least 15 minutes daily. Develop a consistent walking routine / plan and aim for 10,000+ steps daily. Use SparkCoach daily for motivation.
Personal Information:
I am on the other side of 50 (and feeling it some days!) but forever young at heart. Menopause is not making this weight loss journey any easier but I know I need to get my weight under control to relieve some of the medical issues that have been creeping up on me.
Other Information:
I have played around on Spark long enough without making any commitment to changes, not seeing any progress, boo-hooing on my blogs...time to stop the pity party and get focused. This is going to be a way of life for me.. I have to stop thinking and planning and wishing and actually get off my butt and DO something!
