All I want for Christmas...

I am getting close to my 1st year of really stepping into this lifestyle change! So many things have happened this year and I am amazed I haven't gained back any of my weight- I have dealt with plateaus- and I am still trying to bust the latest one, but I have not regressed like crazy!

A year in review:
This year I have found myself in a much better place than every other time I have attempted this journey! It is no longer about promises, but more about action. From Jan - March I lost 15 lbs! From March to June I maintained that loss through stress, horrible eating at times, and very little tracking and exercise! From the end of June till beginning of December I have lost 8 more lbs! I joined a gym, got a trainer, worked through a lot of family life changes and stresses, and now I am getting ready to enter the holiday season.

All I want for Christmas- is continued progress in my goals, more follow through with balance in my life between work and home, and time with family without the stress of trying to take care of everything else!

I've seen better days. emoticon
But I've also seen worse. emoticon
I don't have everything that I want. emoticon
But I do have all I need. emoticon
I woke up with some aches and pains. emoticon
But I woke up. emoticon
My life may not be perfect. emoticon
But I am truly blessed. emoticon

Reflect on this day...be thankful...be strong...and be yourself.
Have a winning weekend!!
Lots & lots of ((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))

Rachel,
I came across this on one of my book markers,
So I thought I would share this with you.

""DON'T QUIT""

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won, had he stuck it out:
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure, turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It maybe near, when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight, when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worse, that you must not quit.

Have a Fabulous February!!

emoticon I thank my dear husband, Bill, for bringing more laughter into my life as it is helping me through my healing from losing him. My quote for you today is by Bill Cosby:

"Through humor, you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers. And once you find laughter, no matter how painful your situation might be, you can survive it."

And, I am using laughter to help me journey through this very painful situation I find myself in.

Have a fabulous and successful week! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
