Lower my BMI! GetMotivated! Run a half marathon...

Hi! I am 34 years old and have been struggling with the same pattern for years in regards to my health, weight and fitness. I do really well for awhile, then lose motivation and back slide. I really, really want to get down to 63kilos before I turn 35 next May. Partly to lower my BMI to a healthy range, and partly to look and feel good. I signed up for a half marathon in November, but am having a hard time staying motivated when it comes to training.

Hi! I am 34 years old and have been struggling with the same pattern for years in regards to my health, weight and fitness. I do really well for awhile, then lose motivation and back slide. I really, really want to get down to 63kilos before I turn 35 next May. Partly to lower my BMI to a healthy range, and partly to look and feel good. I signed up for a half marathon in November, but am having a hard time staying motivated when it comes to training.

I live in Japan, and find it very hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle here. Not because of the food available, but because of my attitude. It is almost like I feel as if my life is on hold. Last year at my health check, I was 75kilos (165lbs), which at 5'2" is just too big on my frame to feel good about myself and feel healthy.

In the spring I got down to 68kilos (148lbs) by running regularly, eating well and taking good care of myself. However, as I mentioned, I have a pattern of losing and gaining, and after a summer of excess, I have slowly inched back up to 72kilos (158lbs)

My goal is 63kilos (140lbs) because I think it is not only realistic to attain, but I think I look and feel my best at that weight. However, I lack motivation- so I have followed the advice of a friend who has seen success from using this site and is seeing amazing weight loss.

Edit: Ran the marathon, and did a 40km as well... still trying to lose the winter pudge! :)

My Goals:
I would like to be 63kilos (140lbs) by my 35th birthday in May, 2013

My Program:
I am trying to workout at least 5 days a week, and complete monthly challenges with friends where we try to go farther each month. April`s goal is 100km - even though I will be travelling.

Personal Information:
I am from Canada, but live in very rural Japan. I have limited access to a lot of the healthy food I would like to eat, and use this as an excuse to eat poorly. Bad Ray!

Other Information:
I love diving - I am a divemaster. No one wants to see a chubby girl squeezing herself into a wetsuit... :)
