Spencer, our joy! He will be 2 years old on March 12, 2010.
Our wedding day, August 22, 2004 at the Labyrinth of Kerns, La Roche College, Pittsburgh, PA.
Enjoying Niagara Falls, stopped on our way out to smell the posies!
Greetings, I am fairly new to Ohio, living in PA almost all of my life. I am now 56, married to my beloved-Eric, am currently enrolled in post master's classes at CSU (counseling licensure), am a mother of 3 (31, 32, 37), and grandmother of 2 boys (Brandon and Devin, both 10). I went to school late in life and have been attending in PA and OH for nearly 11 years (associate thru post master's-professional counseling and added goal of LICDC eventually as well). I waited a lifetime for a real career goal to come to pass and feel the last 6 years have been the most wonderful and enlightening in my life. As for my goal to lose weight: I was plump as a child, yo-yo'ed for years (from 135 to 185), finally determined to lower my weight by at least 50 pounds for now, have realized that having fibromyalgia and degenerative disc disease is hard enough to deal with and feel the extra weight really adds to these two diagnoses. I do not take any meds for the fibro-rather feel pain and feel alive than doped up and not enjoying life. I WILL reach my eventual goal to walk everyday with my "other child" Spencer (see my photos once I figure out the techy issues around posting them--he is a beautiful 105# "pup" at 22 months--a new hybrid Shepradore (pure black lab dad and pure blue merle aussie mom). He has the energy that I want!!! He does not help me to watch my weight though--we snack together and this will need to be stopped, gigglesssssss. I am a life-long chocoholic, salty snack lover, and I realize this too must be altered to meet my goal of losing 50 pounds. My beloved always loved a larger gal and he understands my desire to lose weight. He will lose his snack partner but then again, he is 6'4" and can eat all day and not gain a pound. I am 5'2" and gain weight just by looking in the fridge...know the feeling? So, along with stress related to completing my post master's courses--I deal with fibro and disc issues--and need to realize I can walk for exercise, if nothing else though I enjoy my morning stretches! God bless and meet your needs and mine as well as we all journey together to lose weight, maintain our goal weight, and as we inspire and support others while losing and maintaining!
My goals are to live healthier in 2010. I want to lose 50 lbs, to enhance my skills on playing the Djembe, to work on adding walking to my fitness plan and using Spencer as my workout bud (our pup).
I want to use Atkins to lose weight. I LOVE meat!!! When I do not eat it, I go for carbs! I lost 40 lbs in the early 90's on this diet and my Cholesterol actually dropped 60 points.
My name is Anna Marie and I live in West Park (Cleveland), OH for the last 4 years with my beloved husband-Eric, our puppy, Spencer, Peppie Mozart-part Maine Coon cat, and Louie-a cute, green-cheeked conure. My husband and I have a Christian music ministry and are praying for God to open the doors wide to minister in the Ohio area and I will need more energy to pound on my Djembe and travel around Ohio and Pa. We do not have a TV cable box, we are not TV watchers but do enjoy a DVD movie here and there! Love to work on our 1928 Colonial and landscaping/gardening! I am brushing up on my knitting skills (took me two years to finish my husband's scarf-just in time for this year).
My favorite book is the Word/Bible. My beloved reads to me-each morning and we are also enjoying the Cape Light series currently--a partnership of Thomas Kincade and Kathrine Spencer! It is quite romantic to have him read them to me!! I love Misty Edwards' music, Jeremy Camp, most classical music and Baroque style as well, older, soft rock, the old folk tunes, some jazz and blues as well. Eric and I want to get into fishing-have the rods, lack the motivation, gigglessss...this too shall pass! We love cruising antique shops and the local Goodwill and love listening to live music! We are old black and white and early film fans!!
