When I first wrote my introduction in 2007 my opening line was 'I am a thin person trapped in a fat body'. However, since starting with Spark People I have lost 30+ pounds, so I can now say that I am a thinner person trapped in a chubby body BUT still desperately trying to break out! Well, actually I am not so desperate now, just a little more aware of all that I consume and how much exercise I do daily.

All I really know now is that each one of us has all that we need to get in shape and the outcome is only dependant on how much we really want to change. I now want to change enough that resisting foods that will (in large amounts) inevitably lead to weight gain, are much easier to resist. I also know that we need to exercise to stay in shape, to build a strong heart/lungs as well as being a great stress reliever.

The motto I try to live by these days is "Just do it". It really is that simple.

My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to lose the baby weight I put on five years ago.

I plan to do a marathon one day.



My Program:
My goal is to be consistent so I plan on running at least 1 mile per day.



Personal Information:
I am an Aussie girl who now resides in the Bay area.

I have a wonderful husband and an active 4yr old who definitely keeps me going.

We lost my pit bull Zoe to cancer in July which took me down the comfort food road again. We currently have our elderly boy Zack (pittie/mastiff) who is the sweetest soul.





Other Information:
Everything is big in the US, including the portion sizes. Unfortunately, it has taken me many years to realize this - and now I want my old body back!

    Here is a HUG, to get you thru the days. Always remember you are not alone. This journey is long and slow if we are going to do it right. It's a lifestyle change and not a diet. And it's OK to lose the UMPH to get MOVIN' again and be on the right track.

    But we are SO WORTH IT, to continue the struggle UPWARDS towards beating this BATTLE of the BULGE that so wants to BEAT US DOWN.
