Thanks for the comment on my blog. I so agree that it is much better to shop in regular department stores. And to not have the limited plus-sized selection in department stores.

Congrats on getting to week 3 of C25K. You are right, I need a friend to run with, but no takers right now. I started C25K when my church did a Bible Study called "Run for God." Four of us over 50 ran together. One was a real couch and never got past week one. We did it 6 weeks with her. Then we moved to week 2 for the rest of the program. Two dropped out after the first 3 weeks. My last partner never really made it off redoing week one and had no interest in running. I'd love to find another running partner. Maybe one will come my way soon. There are lots of young girls, but not many obese over 50 runners!

The giant portions--I know! In that book I read, the author said that restaurants noted that it took a person only three times to get used to larger portion sizes. The first time a diner is confronted with way too much food, they would take part home or just leave it. The second time, same thing. The third time, they would just eat the whole thing. The were used to that larger size being normal. Unbelievable how easily our brains are manipulated!
