My name is Randi and I just participated in a competition called Shape Up the Coast for residents on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. On January 19th, 2009, I started at 202.5 lbs; on April 6th, 2009, I ended the competition at 175.5 lbs. I am still working toward my personal goal though! I spend most of my time at work, doing classwork, or working out! They all involve work! :) The most I ever weighed was about 215 lbs. I was so miserable. Though it has taken a long time, I've worked very hard to be where I'm at now. I will continue to work hard to accomplish my goals. I'm currently participating in a new competition called Spring Training that really concentrates on the physical fitness aspect, being able to do push-ups, sit ups, etc. in a certain amout of time. I'm really excited about it! I'm also participating in a beginner triathlon May 30th! Yey! I lost a closer friend May 7th to a heart attack. She was only 26 years old, but severely obese. Weight loss isn't just about looking good, it's about surviving too. May she rest in peace.

Shape Up the Coast Season 2 has started. I'm teaching 5th and 6th grade (Math, Reading, Language Arts) and I work at Best Buy again. I'm trying so hard to find a house soon. I also need to find a new car! :) I'm remaining hopeful about my future husband. I'm also going to be an aunt in March!

I am not a gym buff anymore. Instead, I am a runner...well working on it. As of now, I've completed three 5ks and will be doing my 4th this Saturday. I also like Biggest Loser on the Wii. It has really helped me improve my plank! I gained some of the weight back this summer, but it is coming off again for the final time!

ADVOCARE has been such a big help for me. I have done a few triathlons and I will finally do a Half Ironman in October, I hope.

I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and we are the fattest state in the country - sigh! I'm trying to slowly change those stats by moving myself out of the overweight range!

Other Information:
I love to work out!!! I also like reading and running around the yard with my dogs! I think Michael Phelps and Jon Heder are great!

    Hey lady- thanks for dropping by to say hello! I am doing alright- just trying to maintain everything lately- since school started for the kid- things have gotten even more hectic but the upside is I have been making it to the gym 5 days a week to keep my stress under wraps- lol!
