Motivated!

Battled my weight my whole life it seems. Lost 80 lbs and was really happy with where I was at about 8 years ago, but then an achilles heel injury and some medical problems severely sidetracked me and I gained it all back...plus! So... here we go again.

Oh! I forgot...I wanted to say that all I've heard about Chantix is bad bad stuff on the news. I'm afraid to try it. I am taking Wellbutrin, and have been for years. It never did help the smoking, but maybe it helps with depression a little. :) SmilE!

Hi! Thanks for the congrats on my page! I wish you the best of luck in quitting smoking. I kinda never thought I would quit...my mom and grandmom both smoke (and dad and sister) and my grandmom lived to 82 and died in her sleep of an aneurysm, and my mom is 60 and still smoking away. This WAS my excuse for 21 years of smoking...I didn't believe it was harmful! Honestly. I thought all that talk was just propaganda, lol. And the way my grandmom left us seemed ideal! Anyway, a trip to a terrible hospital did it for me, coughing up blood and thinking I was dying, and so I'm going on to day 16 now cigarette free. It seemed easy until about 2 days ago. I dunno what happened...I think my lungs finally healed enough for my brain to start yelling "HEY WHERE'S MY CIGARETTE???!!!" Ha ha. I don't THINK it is going to interfere with my diet. I dunno. I hope not. My body is probably just in a state of shock because of all the healthiness going on! Well, I didn't mean to blab so long...just wanted to wish you all the best. :) Have a happy day!
