Trying this again!

Hi. I'm 42, live in Austin, TX and work at a job where I sit most of the day. I joined to try and get a better handle on my diet and spend more time with the horse

I've been working like crazy and eating not so great as a result so want to try and improve again. I've done Spark before and it worked I just need to stay with it. Spark has proven to me how big a deal some small changes are though.

Also I'm trying to save money as I bought a new house.

My Goals:
I would like to have better nutrition and get into exercising more.

Long goal: 140lbs by my birthday, May 25.

Short goal: Back down to 160 or less by December 31.

Minigoals: 15 minutes of exercise each day.

My Program:
Keeping my food journal and trying to exercise a bit when I come home. So far the exercising is really hard for me. I think I'd be happier walking or something outside but alas winter.

Personal Information:
I'm in Austin Texas.

I own an awesome Paint gelding now so tend to be more active at least on weekends during the winter.

Other Information:
I enjoy going to the movies or watching movies at home.

That looks like so much fun! I see that Craig Cameron is giving a demonstration and they are also having a ranch horse sale. I'll bet there are some good horses going through there! emoticon

Oh, wow! We were there at the same time, then! We got there about 45 minutes early and had to sit through the rehearsal for the Celebration of the Mexican Cowboy, were you there for that?
I enjoyed Chris's demonstration on the ranch horse that wanted to travel with his head up. That taught me something! I have seen him do the colt work before, but on TV. Saw him at Road to the Horse competing against Clinton and Parelli. That was a once in a lifetime trip, I really don't like the place they held it, the facility was too small for all the people, and parking out in a muddy field wasn't fun at all! Many people got stuck and had to be hauled out, but we had our front wheel drive car, so were able to get out OK.
I may go again if it is in a big enough setting, like Will Roger's complex, emoticon
Where do they hold the Western Heritage Event?

Don't you just love the stock show? I love all the western shows they have at the Will Roger's complex! Did you go this year? emoticon emoticon

He has a good mixture of blood! Some racing, some working, Skipper W bred on the bottom. Did you know that Spunky's Blaise was a Supreme Champion? I have always liked the Tailwind horses, too! They were halter horses that could still work. Something many of the halter horses of today are physically incapable of. (Sadly enough) emoticon
