Over here on the soggy Oregon Coast, if you can't find inspiration in the rain, your soul will just dissolve away. It's hard to stay excited about exercise and healthy eating habits when the rain and hail are blowing around for the umpteenth week straight and all you want to do is sit inside in the gloom with your munchies and watch TV.
I fight the gloomies by reading, writing, and practicing music with friends. I do enjoy sharing meals with friends, as well. Food is one of life's great delights, and I enjoy preparing meals to share.
Of course, eventually the skies clear (if only temporarily), we emerge from the gloom, and get out to enjoy the glorious outdoors.
I just want to be drop-dead gorgeous.
Seriously, I'd like to be at the middle-upper part of my healthy weight range. I've been thinner than that, but really don't want to spend my whole life obsessed with my weight. Healthy-normal is good enough for me.
I want to be fit enough to enjoy a nice hike or get through a work day without becoming exhausted.
Mostly, I just want to eat healthy foods and get up and moving. I really believe that a successful diet plan shouldn't be complicated. I won't follow a plan that tells me what to eat and when, and I'm pretty sure the people I cook for won't either!

Thanks so much for the feedback on my blogs.
We love Netflix and Hulu. I wonder if there is something with how it streams that Netflix is better then the other sites. I can't really tell because my computer nerd hubby has our system set up with some really good equipment so it looks better then it did when we had cable.
I watch too much tv anyways so I might as well watch something worth while :) I have read one of his books (really small and I can't remember the name right off hand) and it was about food rules. It was a good quick read and now I do want to read that book too. We have a garden too and I can't wait to add more to it now. I told my hubby I wanted chickens but he laughed at me. Plus we are in town so I don't think we can technically have them. Dang raccoon's have no conscious' ;)

Thanks for the comment on my blog. The beach does get remarkable weather variations. The sun could be shining on your face while the wind and rain are blowing on your back. I do love the wildness of coastal weather.

Thanks for the goodies! How sweet of you! Thank you! We are kinda neighbors, in regard to garden pests, I'm North of you in WA and we have a lot of similar gardening issues. Love the Oregon coast! If Boeing was in OR, we would so be there. :D
(I'm currently planning a mini vacation to Seaside or Cannon Beach for sometime in the next couple of months, before tourist season.)
