Wouldn't it be an exhilarating tonic for the soul to take a moment to appreciate the simple, good things in life which are so bountiful...? ~Author unknown, c.1949

hey hey Mary. I'm just doing basics, ten minutes for sure (daily) and cut starches back/way back compared to ever. I'm keeping calories at maximum even though carbs are down. My weight is still 10 lbs over goal. In some ways I quit caring about it. I do care about eating healthy and plain water for hydration. I skip vitamin & mineral tablet taking... I am healthy generally speaking/ nothing wrong with me. I'm knitting a thinner sweater (pullover) top down and crocheting a bedspread to replace last one. Well, I guess I better go prepare lunch and chill out in front of the tv 'General Hospital'. The stress of doing research for health insurance in unpredictable political environment (usa) is the worst. See you later tonight on community feed..... Have a good afternoon. ~ Karen

WOW I'd NEVER thought you were 65! You look GREAT!! Whatever you are doing KEEP IT UP!!

I LOVE the bench you painted, though hmmm not a fan of the team. LOL Hey, you know how it is!! Though I do not have a favorite hockey team. I DO football and baseball. PATS and RED SOXS!! Of course I'd WELCOME you to also cheer these on (snicker snicker!) But, the bench is WONDERFUL and yes, it's so nice! A job so well done! NO DOUBT the person of whom you painted it for absolutely LOVES IT!

I LOVE your attitude! NO doubt you are doing this and quite well. It's infectious!

TY for reading my blog on how much exercise has helped me and why I feel it's so important. I had been in a wheelchair for years (car accident,,, the 18 wheeler WON that battle, we LOST it). I had my Dr tell me "Diane you will not walk again, all your doing is frustrating yourself by trying." Showed me my x ray and said "You can see right here why." That angered me. What RIGHT I thought to myself does she have to squish any hope I had. Went home,, outside with my chair, we have a very sturdy rail leading down from the building to the parking lot. Yup stood up and somehow managed 3 steps. From there AWAY I WENT! It took time, but 6 months later I WALKED into her office. Her face SHOCKED. I explained things to her, she said she'd NEVER tell another patient such words again.

So yes, as you have written small steps and not big ones are the ones that help us to stay on track. LOVE your page!
