    You should have an email from Spark when you first joined, and in that email it will have a link for you to click, to verify your email. Then, you'll start receiving emails at that point! :)

    And yaaaaaaaay, congrats on the stationary bike and not buying the Mt Dew! That's fantastic!!

    Oh oops, i hit enter too soon.. (and i'm longwinded, that doesn't help).. i, too, was a pop drinker.. Diet Pepsi was my soda of choice, and it's very hard.. For me, i had to be in the right mindset to finally say okay, enough.. i want to lose weight, and the only way i can do it, is to just stop.. i stopped drinking Diet Pepsi in April and havent touched it since.. Do i crave it? Often! But, that's where you have to find ways to motivate yourself.. i have a ton of things that motivate me daily..And i really depend on those to pull me through. i know it's difficult, but if you really want it, you can *and will* do it.. With children (i have 2) i have to literally buy things for me to eat and then for them to eat.. i drink no pop, no juice, only water all day & skim milk with my cereal in the morning.. i eat no processed foods, no sugars, no foods with white flour, no junkfood whatsoever, no sweets..i have to remain abstinent from these things, because i am a food addict, and have an eating disorder (binger & purger).. So, while trying to lose weight, i'm also trying to get some control on these too.. it's very difficult, for sure.. i completely understand you.. As for the energy - it's hard at first but you have to push yourself to exercise each day.. Pre-plan what you want to do and commit to it.. As you lose weight (even 5 lbs) you get more energy.. After 65 lbs lost, my energy level is incredible.. That, will serve as motivation for you as well.. But you have to commit to the exercising, healthy eating and quitting the things that arent good for you... This site is FULL of great tips, exercise routines, challenges & healthy recipes.. Stuff even your children will love i'm sure.. As for snacks, i eat a lot of fruit... i eat rice cakes (plain ones) with a lil peanut butter, handful of nuts or sunflower seeds, yogurt, lil cheese, i keep it as natural as i can.. i dont eat granola bars and special k bars and that sort of thing.. i can't though, it's part of my binge foods.. Hope some of this has helped.. PS, having a buddy for encouragement each day helps too... So, let's pick something we'll do for exercise tomorrow and commit to it together.. How about 30 mins of walking, you in? :)

    To answer the questions, let's see.... Well i am new to SP myself LOL trying to figure it all out.. However, no you do not join a group when commenting on my page.. Our pages are for us personally, to join a group you have to physically look for a sparkteam and join it, or agree to join it.. So leaving a message on my page, or my leaving one on yours is simply for that.. to say hi, leave some love, ask a question or say have a great day! hehe.. To do a private message here on SP, if you look on your sparkpage, it has a button that says "Send sparkmail to friends".. In the "to" field, it will show a checkmark by all the people you are going to send it to.. If you only want one person, just uncheck the others, then type your message in the Message field :) .. i'll send you one right now, i havent tried it out myself even haha.

    thank you so much for leaving a comment on my page... i want to say, i know exactly where you are at, and how difficult it is to even get started, i've been there for years and trying and trying again.. There is so much discipline and strength needed to change our ways, and i totally get it.. There are alot of things i do that i am willing to share, absolutely.. But i am still learning every single day, this is a new fight for me as well - but i'm always willing to share what i know so far that works for me.. Just remember these few things first... It has to be one step at a time, it has to be one day at a time.. And you will fall, we all do, but what is important is that you dust yourself off and try again.. i would love to have a buddy myself, i still struggle with keeping myself accountable, and everyday is a huge challenge for me still.. (((((hugggggz))))) i've added you to my friends list, if you want to add me, please do... i have to go back to work shortly, but let me know the best way to be in touch, i can send a message here, or email or messenger even... We can do this!
