Anyhow, in 2011, I finally got my act together and I successfully lost about 55 pounds over the course of the year. I started around 180 pounds and I ended the year at 125. I currently weigh in at about 120, and I've been maintaining that for quite some time. It's been a struggle, but has been well worth the effort involved.

I also began running about half-way through my weight-loss journey (really - running - me - the one who "can't" run. Hah!), and in March of 2013 I got talked into my first triathlon... let's just call it an addiction. I've completed 3 sprint tri's so far, and plan to do an Olympic distance tri in 2014!

I highly recommend her workouts, and they were my main exercises for the bulk of my weight-loss endeavors.

I am a RUNNER.

Thank you for the encouragement!!! You have a great point, I should be looking at measurements as well. I don't know why I always expect to lose so much so fast (very unrealistic and crazy hehe).

Thanks for commenting on my blog: The blog that EVERYONE thinks about writing, but not everyone does.

I really needed to see those images of myself to realize how bad it has gotten. Luckily for me, I opened my eyes and saw the images... and kicked myself in the pants!
