hey, thanks for the goodie, I am sure there is an onion in there somewhere. I got a lot of gardening done today before the rain hit, then I spent the rest of the day cleaning "The Aviary." These budgies sure are messy! 1833 days ago
I actually read one recipe which recommended drying the morels and then soaking them because it concentrated the flavor. I would be surprised if you don't have morels with your climate. The word Chicago means something like "Smelly onion" in Native American language but I don't know if there still are onions here 1834 days ago
Hey thanks for stopping by my page and commenting on my big shroom. That is probably the biggest morel I have found (hubby is holding it) but I have seen bigger. I had to look up ceps and St. Georges and I have never found those here (NW IL) but they look just like something we used to gather when I was a kid in Sweden. We have found chanterelles here which are my faves! 1838 days ago
"Beautiful Woman Award! Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the wall of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out"
