Raen Drops Weight and Gains Confidence

I'm 32 and ready to stop the merry-go-round of unsuccessful diets. I feel like I've been dieting for 15 years, and overall only gained (about 80 lbs!)

I've made a plan to go about this slow and steady, to stop fixating on a particular event (I'll look great before I'm 30, I'll look great at the wedding next summer, etc), and to focus on other improvements beyond just the scale (no more daily weighing!)

I am a high school math and science teacher, waiting for the elusive permanent contract. I live with my husband of 7 years, a cat and a bunny. I am a very organized person, a planner, and now all I need to do is follow through.

As I read your profile I felt like I was reading my own :) I've been on my own roller coaster since I was a kid and in 2011 (with SparkPeople's help) I had it under control... and then life happened...

I think the best part that helped me through was finding a close knit group of SparkFriends and together we motivated each other and kept each other on track!

Hi! Glad you joined 30 somethings with 50-99lbs to lose! Im recently back to SP (started back 6 days ago) and we have many things in common! We are close in age and weight! Lets motivate each other and keep one another accountable! Look forward to hearing from you. I lost 57 lbs my first go around on SP... a major piece of my success was faithfully using the food tracking log. Have u considered that? emoticon emoticon
