Hi, my name is Debs. I started this journey mainly for health reasons (blood pressure in particular), with a little vanity thrown in for good measure (I have so many nice clothes that I just don't fit into!)

Hi, my name is Debs. I started this journey mainly for health reasons (blood pressure in particular), with a little vanity thrown in for good measure (I have so many nice clothes that I just don't fit into!)

Five month update. Have lost 40lbs, 8 inches from my waist, blood pressure normal, joint pain gone, sleeping better, headaches gone for the most part, energy levels up, still a way to go, but feeling better, and so grateful for the help and support I get here, I wouldn't have stayed the course without the love and support I receive here and in the real world. Now the weight has gone, just got to fight the real battles in life!

One month on, 16.5 lbs lost, exercise most days, mood excellent, motivation off the charts, food choices all good! Best of all, blood pressure is normalising, I'm sleeping better and feeling invincible. I know that bad days and setbacks will happen, but this time, I feel ready to just get back on the horse and keep trying. The support from the people here is amazing, and keeps me not only accountable, but also motivated and focused.

Three month update: 30lbs lost, feeling better physically, and mentally, although struggling a little with coming to terms with losing weight. The answer is exercise (usually no matter what the question!), to make me actually FEEL slimmer, I need to get past an injury I have and just GET ON WITH IT!

Five month update. 33lbs lost, so not a huge jump, but I'm fine with it slowing down, letting my brain gradually re-focus on not being so large. Back in the exercise groove too. Might try some new exercises this week, and I'm still working on planks and push-ups, being pretty hopeless at both, I now see it as a personal challenege to get really, really good at it! And then I have promised myself that if I do, I'll do a vlog. That should be 'interesting'!

My Goals:
Goal weight 175
Blood pressure to be in normal range.
To not ache when I stand up!
To be able to jog freely without my knees hurting
To see the 'before and after' photos, and look back in five years time and say 'I'm so glad I did it then and didn't wait any longer'

My Program:
Make exercise a regular and sustainable part f life, ringing the changes with boxing, running, skipping, squats, zumba, aerobics and strength training.
Stick with a calorie limit.
Stop the chocolate!
