Hello my beautiful friend. I hope married life is being good to you. I am keeping you in my thoughts. For some reason I felt you needed to know that today. Were we closer in distance I would give you a hug.

So far it doesn't look like any of the classes I need are available as "hybrids" (combo online/in person). If I could do lecture online and lab only in person, that would be a dream come true! If my professor podcasts his/her lectures, I'll ask permission to not attend all of them.

As for the salary, I'm not in any imminent danger of losing out of anything on the 30%. If I raise it, fabulous! If I don't- I still receive my regular pay. I haven't negotiated any monetary terms, as I've not accepted the job just yet, so I'm not sure what 30% would be. If I make $1,000/mo, then 30% would be $300 monthly, and I'd anticipate not getting any more than that based on my hours.

I'm not ready to move out, as I have absolutely no money saved up. So, leaving and finding a job isn't really on the horizon for me. But, yes, you're right. My alternative is to stay where I am... stuck in a job that I only like, but don't love. Doing work and things that aren't in line with what I want for my future and my future self. I've come a long way to working on getting into a degree program and I'm soooooo close! I want to see it through and go all the way with it.

Thank you so much for reading that beast of a blog and taking the time to comment. Your friendship means a lot to me and I appreciate your taking the time to reach out!

Hi Debs!!! My plan is to attend both churches right now. But, I'm sure there will be a time when the services conflict or overlap, and I'll have to make a decision about where I'll stay. I've decided to just cross that bridge when I get there.

As for the job, I've been considering taking it temporarily, should it become the case. However, it really doesn't get to be up to me, ya know? So, once again, it should be something that I don't worry too much about. The decision on that will come from the Boss. It just doesn't feel good to be put in this limbo of not knowing.

I saw a white bleeding heart plant in a garden - so elegant! Are you having a cake and all the trimmings on Saturday?? Hope the sun shines to make a perfect day, Sweetie! Hugs....

Hi!!! I'm doing okay. Just very busy. My grandmother is having a knee replacement surgery on Monday, so I've been gearing up to spend a few days in San Diego while she's recovering.

I saw on your last blog that your dad is in hospice. I'm very sorry to hear that. Having worked in a nursing home, I've been around hospice patients and families before. I hope you're finding the people taking care of him (and you!) are loving, compassionate, and caring. I hope he makes it to your actual wedding, too. If he doesn't, I think your mini-ceremony sounded like it was beautiful and sweet!

I'm so excited for you getting married! I hope your day is everything you've dreamed of and more! Congrats and enjoy it! Much love from the states!
