Never Give Up
Everyday is a new adventure. It's a new opportunity to start over; to try again; to be a bit better. My weight lose journey has had many ups and downs, but through it all I am still here. I began my weight loss journey nearly 8 years ago. I was very successful, with the help of sparkpeople. I learned how to eat, how to cook, and most importantly how fun and fulfilling exercise can be. After 2 years of great success and nearly obtaining my goal, I was blessed with my 3rd son, Corbin. After his birth my life was turned upside down and I know longer had the time to dedicate to myself. My priorities changes, some of the better and others for the worse. It was during this time that I started slacking on tracking my food. I still maintained my exercise, but I stopped tracking it. Very gradually I neglected my sparkpeople friends and stopped using the tools completely. I grew lax and began to slowly resort back to my old habits. It took 5 years, but I am now at the point where I have nearly undone all the great success I accomplished to long ago. A few months ago I realized that I needed to pull out my "Fat" clothes from the attic. It was then that I knew I needed to do something. However the time to start was pushed off again and again. Now my body is telling me that I no longer have time to procrastinate. So, once again I have come back to my tried and true friend. It works! It takes effort to change, but with small simple things you do everyday big changes occur. The nice thing is that often they occur without you even realize it. However, they don't come without effort, forethought, and action.

My Goals:
Pray everyday for the Lord's divine help along my journey. Short term goal: Lose 5 pounds by my birthday. Reached 2-18-13 Be 10 pounds lighter by my birthday (March 12), so I will have more energy to play. completed 3-25-13 To be 15 pounds lighter by 4-22-13 Long term goal: 145 by March 2015
My Program:
I measure my food, log it, and plan for the next meal everyday. I exercise at least 4x's a week, listening to my body to determine the intensity. I seek the Lord's help everyday to make good choices for my body and my family. Pat myself on the back at the end of a successful day and be patient with myself for the days I don't do things perfectly. One bad meal doesn't mean I've blown the whole day.
Personal Information:
I am a married mother of 3 boys. I love to garden. I have a very large vegetable garden as well as flower perinenal garden. I also have a large potted annual garden, wherein most of the flowers I've grown from seeds. I'm a college graduate hoping to be accepted into a doctorate program in the up coming fall. I love how a person's surrounding so strongly effects a person. Other hobbies include: canning, sewing, reading, and camping.
Other Information:
I have a family history of obesity and I really want to overcome my body before my body overcomes me. When I achieve my goal I want to go on a vacation with my husband to Italy and Greece.
