Ready for a change!

I'm Rachel. I'm 30. I am on a mission to lose 100 pounds. I don't know how long that will take me, but I'm tired of being the fat friend, and I'm tired of not being able to wear super cute clothes (vain, I know!).

I tend to have an all or nothing mindset, so I'm really working on improving the way I talk to myself, and to not expect perfection.

My Goals:
My main motivation is to have the mental and physical stamina to be able to study all day in preparation for the bar exam during Summer 2013. So to that end..

I'd like to look smokin' when I walk across the stage at graduation on May 18, 2013. I don't have a specific poundage in mind, but I'd like to be able to feel confident and gorgeous in a dress from Modcloth, and some really cute heels wouldn't hurt!

A few days after I take the bar, my hubby and I are going to Hawaii. I want to feel comfortable on the flight over (not like I'm encroaching on the seats next to me) and would like to be able to enjoy all the outdoor fun Hawaii has to offer - wakeboarding, hiking, hang gliding, etc.

My first short term goal is 239 by Halloween.

My Program:
I am going to track my food on Spark People EVERY DAY, and consistently stay in my calorie range. Notice I didn't say stay in calorie range EVERY DAY - I'm not perfect, but I would like to challenge myself to stick with the program and not have an all or nothing mindset.

I plan to burn the calories recommended to me to meet my weight loss goals (so about 3 days of 30 minutes of cardio) for now. When I get the hang of that I will add more.

Personal Information:
I live in a suburb outside of Nashville, TN. I work full time as a project manager for a healthcare company in Brentwood, TN. I attend law school part time and will be graduating in May!! I am married and we have 4 cats and 2 dogs. I love to read, listen to audiobooks, play computer games, and watch true crime television and cheesy movies.
